“ | Why, Adam, don't you recognize your uncle, Keldor? | „ |
~ Keldor revealing himself to his amnesiac nephew, Adam. |

Yep, definitely a calm and reasonable person.
Oh, what a great day...a great day for another proposal. I have a great proposal, oh very interesting one at that. Since I did great on my first proposal and had fun with it, I thought another villain that I've been planning to do for awhile. I introduce you to the great fallen Prince Keldor, also known as Skeletor! This version of the character is from the Netflix original series called He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, based on the original Mattel show of the same name from the 1980s. I have been watching this show for awhile and just like Netflix's She-Ra and Kevin Smith's Masters of the Universe, is what introduce me to the franchise. So, I thought why not propose this version of Skeletor as to show my love for this series. Interestingly, unlike the other incarnations of the character, this version is surprisingly more compantent as a villain. Anyway, enough of me talking and let's get this trial started.
What is the Work?[]
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is a CGI animated Netflix series and similar to She-Ra and The Princesses of Power, is a reboot of the original cartoon they are based on with this one being based on the 1980s TV series. The show was released in 2021 with the third season coming out on August 18, 2022 and as of now a new season has not been announced, which they should because this show is amazing and the best iteration of the franchise. Anyway, the show is about a young boy named Adam, who was living a normal life in the jungle with his friend, Krass, and caretaker, Cringer. Once he discovered a magical sword, it gave him powers which he can share it with his friends. After meeting his evil uncle and realizing how big of a threat he became, Adam and his friends (which includes Krass, Cringer, Duncan, and Teela) work together to share this new found power to defeat Keldor, now known as Skeletor. Down the line, Adam discovers that he is the lost prince of Eternia who was believed to be dead after an incident in Castle Grayskull.
Who is He and what He has done?[]

Honestly, I prefer this design over his mainstream one. This one has drip and looks like a badass.
Skeletor (real name: Keldor) is the main antagonist of the show and serves as a power-hungry sorcerer, who seeks to conquer all of Eternia. He does whatever it takes to gain more power to elevate himself to a status where everyone would look up to him as a god. He founded the Dark Masters, which contains his former allies, Evil-Lyn and Kronis (Trap Jaw), and a new member, R'Qazz (Beast man). They serve as the complete opposite to Adam's group, the Masters of the Universe. He is the demented uncle of prince Adam and the brother of Randor, the current king of Eternia.
Past[]
“ | Adam: Let me go! Keldor: Shush, the grown-ups are talking. |
„ |
~ Keldor using Adam as a hostage to force the Eldress to give up the castle's power to him. |
Keldor was the prince of Eternia and the young brother of King Randor and uncle of the young prince Adam. Obsessing over power and seeking the throne for himself, Keldor had his allies, Evil-Lyn and Kronis, to start a coup in the kingdom while he kidnapped Adam and brought him to Castle Grayskull as to force the Eldress into offering the castles power to him instead of his brother in exchange for Adam's life. Eldress summons two artifacts that were once wielded by King Grayskull himself, the Sword of Power and the Havoc Staff. Keldor felt the sword represent a tool for a soldier and their will to follow commands while a scepter (which is the staffs base form) represent, in his own words, a true ruler. He took the cool looking scepter and plunged it into the castle's beam of light to gain it's power. Due to his power-obsessed and narcissistic personality, the castle deems him unworthy and cursed him by turning his left hand into a skeleton.
Feeling he was tricked, Keldor expressed anger and tried to attack the Eldress until Adam saved her with the Sword of Power. Like any villain ever, Keldor is outraged that a young boy like Adam was able to fight back. After his brief attack on his nephew, Eldress used her powers to make sure that Keldor would never find the castle or Adam again, in a way, being banished. Afterwards, Keldor heads to Snake Mountain to sustain himself from his curse but has led him into becoming a recluse. This incident led Randor to believe that the sword killed both his son and brother with the rest of the kingdom thinking their dead. Interestingly, Randor would make a monument of the two as a way to grieve his loss.
Season 1[]
“ | The Power of Grayskull...belongs to me! | „ |
~ Keldor finally returning to gain the power he so desires. |
After Adam reawakened the power of Grayskull within the sword, the reclusive Keldor awakens from his slumber feeling Grayskull's power again. He heads to Eternos where he encounters royal guards from the kingdom and sucks their life energy. He then encounters his former comrades, Evil-Lyn and Kronis, they decide to team up once again in order to get Grayskull's power. Noticing that Adam has the sword and suffering from amnesia, Keldor went to see him and presented himself as a concern family member but did this to lower Adam's guard down so he can retrieve the sword. He then snatches the sword and allowed his comrades to blow them up with their rocket launchers, afterwards, they head to Castle Grayskull. Once there, Keldor used the sword to summon the castle and heads right in until Adam and his group arrives as well. Keldor quickly attacks his nephew and traps him inside while his friends are held captive through an imprisonment spell.

The most buff Skeletor I've ever seen...and I love it. Interestingly, his design reflects the outfit he wears in his human form.
Keldor orders Adam to use the castle's power to free him from his curse while mocking the nicknames the heroes chosen for themselves, at least he likes Cringer for being a talking tiger. He-Man (Adam) tries to distract Keldor to buy Teela time to free themselves from the spell. They all start their fights while Keldor and He-Man fight other in the depths of the castle. Keldor continues to mock Adam and calls him arrogant as his father, which at this point Adam still questions his identity as a prince, He-Man knocks him back and sends Keldor back to the surface of the castle. Like any supervillain, Keldor does not accept this defeat and tries to use the castle's power again by plunging the Havoc Staff into the beam of light. From there, he unlocks the staff's true potential, leading it to transform into the staff we know today, and laughs maniacally at the hero's right before jumping into the beam. He also drags Evil-Lyn and Kronis into the beam to go to Snake Mountain, he reveals his new transformed body that reflects his inner ugliness. He tells them that he now accepts his new form and no longer views his curse as a burden, by then he changes his name to Skeletor.
Later on, Evil-Lyn tells Skeletor to share his power with her and Kronis like He-Man did with his friends but Skeletor rejects this because he claims that can only be possible through the metal that the Sword of Power is forged into (and that sharing is stupid). The metal he is talking about is called Kirbinite. Kronis tells Skeletor he knows where King Randor is storing the metal but needs assistance to get pass security and without Teela, they have no chance of getting through. Skeletor decides to summon monsters to attack a royal convoy to kidnap General Dolos, so Kronis can duplicate his appearance for a holographic disguise. Kronis successfully obtained the metal with ease. Afterwards, Skeletor recruits a new member to the team and his name is R'Qazz, a beast-like hunter who speaks in third person. Skeletor took a liking to him mainly for being less of a person but more so a beast. He explains to his comrades on his plans of taking over Eternos but first, he takes their stuff, which is Evil-Lyn's staff, R'Qazz's whip, and Kronis's metal jaw, so he can enchant them with his dark magic and the Kirbinite. During this, he sends in a magical storm that everyone in Eternos has felt including the Masters of the Universe. Skeletor pulls out his staff to finish the enchantment and then gives them back to his comrades, now they can harness the havoc that Skeletor can "share" with them.
When the Masters of the Universe arrive at Snake Mountain, Skeletor reveals himself and tells them on his new appearance as well a new name. Kronis, Evil-Lyn, and R'Qazz reveal themselves as well with Skeletor using his staff to transform them so they can have equal footing with the protagonist group. Each of them fight their own nemesis with Skeletor, of course, fighting his nephew, He-Man, in a pocket dimension. Skeletor tells He-Man for so long he thought Grayskull's power was his only shot of obtaining the throne until how big of a lie it is and no longer desires Grayskull's power. Surprisingly, he manages to break the sword and then places his depowered enemies in a pit so they can be engulfed by green lava that contains havoc, by doing this he is purposely having them be corrupted by the havoc. With his army of brainwashed soldiers and drones set, Skeletor heads to Eternos to finally invade it but he is betrayed by his minions, who only manipulated him to have a piece of havoc for themselves. Funny enough, Skeletor expected this to happen because he, of course, did not trust them and was able to overpower them with ease by taking their powers away. He reveals that he never needed the Kirbinite metal to share the power but to amplify the havoc into controlling them, that goes for everyone else as well. He shows this by saying he is the master of their universe (my god, he is such a narcissist), Skeletor returns his power to them but forced his will upon his allies as to prevent any other attempt at rebeling.
He returns to his invasion and enters the castle to meet Randor after ten long years of being presumed dead. Randor, though shocked that his brother has returned, is not surprised by his strange appearance, which annoyed Skeletor (honestly, I be annoyed too). His invasion is soon interrupted when the Masters of the Universe have returned with the Sword of Power repaired, Skeletor and his Dark Masters tries to gain an upper hand but the heroes easily repelled them. Skeletor then used the entire brainwashed army of Eternos to surround the heroes, He-Man tells Skeletor that they will never surround and allow him to succeeded in his plans. The heroes split up to think their next step, however, Skeletor was able to gain the throne that he always wanted, cementing himself as Eternos new ruler.
Season 2[]
“ | If only I knew then what I know now. Becoming king is great but becoming a god does have a nice ring to it, doesn't it? | „ |
~ Skeletor revealing his plans on becoming a god. |
Skeletor flashbacks to a time when he told Adam that Eternos is not in good terms with the other realms because the other realms wanted the Sigil of King Hiss for the purpose of bringing back the undead but Grayskull refused to give it to them. Skeletor says that he regrets not using that information on becoming a god early in his life, which encourages him to find that sigil. Later, Skeletor wants the people of the kingdom to rejoice that he is they're king now though Evil-Lyn tells him they don't seem particularly happy to see him but Skeletor says that will soon change once he gets the sigil. He then orders Kronis to work on new weapons of war until he notice a spy drone left it's position. Suspicious, Skeletor orders R'Qazz to follow it to see where is it going. Once Adam activated the power of Grayskull in Avion, Skeletor was able to sense them which he thought his Red Legion destroyed the castle but Evil-Lyn tells her master it could be an accidental activation of undiscovered artifacts in Eternian Wilds. R'Qazz contacts Skeletor that he has found Randor and Teela, which Skeletor grants him permission to kill them.
Skeletor ponders to himself why King Grayskull didn't use the sigil to raise his own arimes, command the snakes, and reshape Eternia. He uses his staff to uncover secrets that lay within Grayskull's portrait of himself defeating King Hiss, discovering that Snake Mountain is the clue into finding it. He then heads to Snake Mountain with Evil-Lyn but realized that the Masters of the Universe are alive and is angered with Evil-Lyn for trying to convince him that they weren't but she tells him they can use this chance to finish them off. Since Lord Stratos, who is king of Avion, is here helping the Masters, Evil-Lyn tells her master that they should avoid a war with Avion but Skeletor tells her to go on ahead to find what they came for while he deals with his nephew and Krass. During his fight with Krass, he tells her if she ever wondered what the jewel on her helmet comes from, suggesting that he knows what it is. After repelling him, Skeletor takes Stratos as a hostage to take a deal by asking for the piece of the sigil and then he will let go Stratos but since they refuse, Skeletor attempts to kill Stratos even though Evil-Lyn warned him not to. To prevent an all out war, she uses her powers to teleport herself and Skeletor back to Eternos, in doing so they lost the piece of the sigil.
Frustrated with this failure and Evil-Lyn's insubordination, he breaks her staff leading her to lose the powers that was offered from the havoc and Skeletor banishes her from the castle. R'Qazz returns to explain he could not capture Teela and Randor due to them having help, Skeletor orders Kronis to release Tri-klops so they can capture Randor easily. Later on, Skeletor found Randor's diary and discovered that another piece of King Hiss's sigil is locked away in a vault. He destroys the vault's door but, oops, it's not there as it turns out that the vault is actually a train that went active before he could notice. Him, Kronis, and R'Qazz follows the trail on where the trains is heading but notices the Protagonist group is there including bandits. Skeletor fights He-Man before getting inside the train, once they do, they are interrupted by one of the drones inside the train that is willing to self-destruct when it notices violence. So, if they are going to get the second piece they need to avoid violence so the drones won't explode. The piece lies within a dance hall of drones. As weird as it sounds, they must dance with the drones to pass through in order to get the piece. Skeletor and He-Man almost got it until Stratos grabbed it and then lost it to Kronis, who retreats with Skeletor and R'Qazz.
Lord Skeletor is now celebrating his birthday but is bored from all the terrible gifts he was receiving from the kingdom's citizens, Kronis did got him a cool motorcycle called Painthor. R'Qazz got him a wish stone, a rock that can grant someone's wish. Before he tells his wish, he gets teleported to Castle Grayskull's library with one of his enemies, Duncan. Both of them fight each other with Skeletor kicking Duncan to the Eldress statue and tries to find where the other Masters are but can't leave for some reason. Duncan explains that there might be a cosmic lockdown that is preventing them to leave, Skeletor forces Duncan to stop it but Duncan tells he won't able to if he kills him. They go into the castle's depths until Skeletor found the sigil piece (the one from Snake Mountain) but can't take it out as it's stuck in a device because Duncan was trying to see if he could use it to bring back the Eldress's ghost, who disappeared after moving the castle to Avion. Since Duncan could not keep his mouth shut, Skeletor now knows the location of where the castle is located. Since he could be trap for an eternity with one of his enemies, Skeletor laments that this is the worst birthday ever then explains to Duncan on the wish stone which is what brought him here. Duncan discovers that the magic behind the stone is an ancient Trollan secret, one of the books on Trollan secrets that Skeletor found flew away so they worked together to catch it. Skeletor has Duncan to translate the book, which says that the stone answers to what the heart desires but Skeletor takes the stone and threw it far in space only because he suspects Duncan would abandon him in the lockdown or wish him out of existence. He orders him to figure a way out by different means.
Skeletor finds out Duncan is with a helper machine and asks what he is doing, Duncan tells him that he is having the helper to fix the power relays outside, though it's actual purpose is retrieving the stone back. Duncan asks Skeletor why he never returns back to his original form but Skeletor dismisses the question by saying "Keldor is gone" then Duncan asks him what a birthday is, which baffles Skeletor. Duncan reveals that he is an orphan and wonders if it's his birthday too but Skeletor aggressively tells him he won't let him take away his special day. Out of pity, Duncan makes a cake for him but Skeletor blows it up because he thought he was holding a weapon, despite the sudden attack, Duncan tries to hang out with Skeletor to make him feel better. Later on, Duncan's machine found the stone but Skeletor destroys it because he knew Duncan was scheming against him and tries to get the stone before Duncan does. They fight each other over the wish stone but Duncan tries to convince Skeletor to not destroy the stone and that he is not scheming against him. Skeletor spares him only because he does not want to spend another time in his existence with Duncan. He successfully uses the stone to wish them out and they return back where they were. When Skeletor returns, he notices his brother was using the mind controlled guards in arresting his minions so he stop them and had the guards imprison Randor instead. He then orders Kronis to upgrade his motorcycle to fly because he plans on attacking Avion to destroy Castle Grayskull and retrieve the Masters piece of the sigil.
Skeletor and his army arrives at Avion and he fights He-Man on his Painthor while his minions deal with the other Masters. During the fight, Skeletor tries to get He-Man off his vehicle only for him to be caught by Cringer who is being dragged by Teela. Skeletor tries to attack her until she teleports them including herself to Castle Grayskull. With his Red Legion army incapacitated, Skeletor, Kronis, R'Qazz try to get the sigil pieces but were overwhelmed by Cringer and Duncan combining their abilities. Seeing the pieces ahead of him, Skeletor takes this chance to get them but was beaten by his nephew, who hit the pieces together just to repel him. The Masters of the Universe plan on destroying Skeletor's staff, in doing so he would lose control over his army and his powers. Lord Stratos finally arrives to give support with his own team he formed but the Red Legion attacks Stratos kingdom on Skeletor's orders. Getting overwhelmed by his enemies, Skeletor used the havoc to boost his power and then send a strong attack at He-Man, pushing him off the ledge. This power up not only affected him but also his Dark Masters, they were able to defeat the other heroes and got the two sigil pieces until Skeletor notices a ship right behind him. The ship blasts him and his Dark Masters back with Skeletor being separated from the Havoc staff. Due to this separation, released Kronis and R'Qazz from his control.
A weaken Skeletor tells Kronis and R'Qazz to attack the heroes as to buy him time to recover while promising he would share his god-like powers to them once he becomes one. Despite the tempting offer, they apprehended their former master to allow the Masters of the Universe to use all their energy to power up He-Man's sword in order to destroy the Havoc Staff. Skeletor used his powers to summon chains to reclaim the staff but was stopped by Krass. Afterwards, He-Man plunged the sword onto the staff which bursted into energy and was sucking Skeletor into it but he summoned chains to grapple on to Krass before being destroyed. The staff returns back to it's scepter form and what's left of Skeletor is his burnt skull.
During a moment with Adam after returning the Havoc Staff to Castle Grayskull, Krass sees a vision of Skeletor speaking to her, showing that he escaped death by transferring his spirit into the stone that was inside Krass's helmet. Skeletor tries to communicate with Krass but she tries to dismiss him and ignore anything he's trying to say. He tries to get under her skin to, let's say, think negatively of her comrades, specifically Adam, and make it seem that they are going to abandon her. He jokingly says that they are are bonding but Krass still tells him to go away, Skeletor explains he won't leave because of the stone on her helmet was cut from the same type of havoc that brought the snake people into the world. Basically, what's left of him is havoc as he says and as long she has the helmet, he will be with her. Krass tells him that she will get rid of it but, of course, she can't because it is what's left of her parents and Skeletor knew this. He told her that he is willing to help her bring back her parents as long she helps him in his plan of bringing the sigils together. She continues to resist him until she was finally convinced when Skeletor tells her that havoc has been around her for so long that she will never be able to ignite Grayskull's power. After stealing all three sigils, Krass travels to Castle Grayskull to obtain the Havoc Staff and with it activated the havoc within her. Krass engaged in a fight with He-Man and defeated him, she went inside the castle to bring the sigils together, successfully creating the Sigil of King Hiss and brought the Snake people back to life. Skeletor looks forward with his new comrade, Krass, whos is now going by Rampage: the Dark Master of Destruction.
Season 3[]
“ | I am the heir of Grayskull. Might as well start acting like it. With darkness and light...I am the power! | „ |
~ Skeletor becoming Skele-god. |

"I love the smell of malevolence in the morning. Take a seat, kid. The show's just getting started."
Skeletor shows Krass a secret that lays within Castle Grayskull, which is the creation of the Havoc Staff and how havoc came to existence. He further states that King Grayskull used a ramstone to bring havoc into the universe. Krass demands him to bring her parents back but Skeletor tells her that he does not think the sigil will do it. Skeletor says that half of the resurrected snake people will distract her friends while the others will be used as a labor force. He-Man turns out to be alive and tries to attack Skeletor but proven to be unaffected. He kicks his nephew out of the castle and closes the gate. He then summons a batch of snake people to attack He-Man. He and Krass have the snakes to dig underground as to find the tomb of King Grayskull and take his remains. Skeletor argues that he needs Grayskull's body to have full power of the castle and "fulfill" his promise to her. Later on, Skeletor tells Krass that they have a problem but Krass criticise him for not giving her privacy, but Skeletor jokingly says that life would've been interesting had he have a sister instead of a brother. He goes further in his manipulation by comparing each other in their motives of reshaping the universe into one that befits them, fueled by scorn, and "rejection by family."
Anyway, Skeletor explains the situation that the snakes are not responding to the control of the sigil and needs her to look into it. Krass checks on the snakes only to find He-Man and his father including Cringer, Skeletor commands Krass to tell them to let the snakes continue on their dig or Randor will perish but Krass protests. Skeletor continues his manipulation until she revealed their plans on looking for Grayskull's tomb, which angered him. Randor reveals the tomb is located in Leviathae and mentions that the snakes won't appear there since they still fear King Grayskull even in death. Krass leaves and heads to Leviathae, she also takes the sigil in case she needs it.
After crash landing into Leviathae, Krass and He-Men are discovered by the ancient machines that protect the tomb. With the machines destroyed, Mer-Man appears and ask who seeks to bring back Grayskull. Skeletor reveals himself but despite being in spirit form, Mer-Man senses him and his intentions of bringing his former king back. Mer-Man lets Krass and Skeletor into the tomb with He-Man following them. When going to the tomb's center and finding Grayskull's corpse, Skeletor and Krass appear before He-Man and starts messes with He-Man. He encourages a fight between the two while tries to open the force field that is holding Grayskull's body. He manages to open it and gain access to Grayskull's bones but needs to bring the bones to the castle in order to perform the ritual. He uses the either to create a portal and used the Sigil of King Hiss to bring the snakes and had many of them appear before He-Man. Skeletor commands Krass to throw away the sigil leading the snakes to merge with it becoming a giant powerful snake. Skeletor and Krass go through the portal to Castle Grayskull.
He starts his ritual to merge with the bones of Grayskull and succeeded. He revels in his new powers and shows it to all the people of Eternia while announcing himself as their god. He plans to "share" his powers to everyone while knowing that some may not survive his control over them. R'Qazz, who has return to his former master, wants to work for Skeletor again and offers himself to become a Skele-drone. Skeletor used his powers to forcefully transform R'Qazz into one of his servants and had Krass watch in horror. Skeletor summons a giant wave of havoc to corrupt the people of Eternia but notice Krass's friends and enemies working together in trying to stop him by using a device to prevent the havoc consuming the world. Finally, Krass turns against him due to being terrified of what he did to R'Qazz and his plan of corrupting the world, saying she doesn't want to resurrect her parents in such a world. Skeletor, of course, doesn't care and reveals he would only bring them back as his Skele-drones. Having enough of him, she engage in a fight with him but Skeletor was unfazed by her attacks and defeated her with ease until He-Man arrived to save her. He-Man and Skeletor engage in a fight with Krass and He-Man got the upperhand over him but he still won't admit defeat, so they combine their powers in throwing a large attack on Skeletor, leading him to be thrown into the castle's beam of light.

Mmmm, this seems to remind me of another villain, who also turned into a dragon.
They assume Skeletor is defeated until he flew out and grabbed Krass. He threatens to kill her by forcing more havoc into her system until He-Man stops him. In order to save his friend, He-Man offers the Sword of Power to Skeletor. Skeletor lets go of Krass and grabs the sword. With both artifacts of Grayskull in hand, Skeletor combines both powers into himself leading him to transform into a powerful dragon with a power to harness the universe and reshape it. He announces his plans for the universe to the rest of his enemies but they follow him and tries all they can to stop him but has proven to be futile. Skeletor opens a tear in the sky to get to the heart of the universe. Before entering, he takes the powers of his enemies except Evil-Lyn because her bat familiar took her away.
Inside the heart of the universe, Skeletor tries to use his powers to turn everything in the cosmos to reflect himself until he was stopped by the Masters of the Universe. The Masters fight Skeletor but has proven to be incredibly powerful, easily deflecting their attacks until He-Man took the Sword of Power from him. Due to this, Skeletor loses some of his power but is still strong enough to fight them. He-Man tries to strike at him but Skeletor repel against him in which he lost the sword. He notices Krass nearby and grabs her, knowing her fear of tight spaces, Skeletor attempts to crush her. Cringer distracts Skeletor, allowing Krass to use her powers to get out of his hand and reunite with her friends. He-Man retrieves the sword and everyone combines their powers into it. Skeletor tries to stop them but He-Man cuts off his hand, the Havoc Staff falls off leading to destruction of his dragon form. Skeletor lands in front of the Masters of the Universe weaken from the battle and lost most of his strength. Thanks to his defeat, the world is saved from his terror. From that moment on, He-man, shockingly, uses the Sword of Power to release his uncle from the havoc, leading him to transform back to his human form. He brings his uncle to Eternos so he can be placed in the dungeons but Keldor does not understand why his nephew restore him from the havoc despite having the power of the universe within him. Randor has the guards take his brother away but Keldor warns his family that he saw something "illuminating" in the center of the universe and release a maniacal laugh at them.
Heinous Standards[]
“ | You are wrong. Grayskull brought out the best in me! My best is just a little different than yours, nephew! | „ |
~ Keldor accepting havoc and argued it brought the best in him. |

Wow, Skeletor, you have a very interesting list of crimes. Lets see here, you've tried to kill the Masters of the Universe with one of them being your nephew, plotted to overthrow your own brother for the throne, willingly submit to the havoc in exchange for more power, tricking your comrades into sharing the havoc so you can force your will upon them, attempting to become a god by any means, manipulating a grief-stricken girl into betraying her friends so you can use her for your own plans while lying to bring her parents back, merging with Grayskulls body, and finally combined both the Sword of Power and the Havoc Staff into becoming a big giant dragon to change reality itself.
Now, Skeletor is a massive beast of a villain in this show and has committed a lot of crimes in the span of three seasons. It's still shocking that he's based on the one from the original cartoon but with a big upgrade. This guy was willing to do whatever it takes to gain more power and essentially become a god even if he has to kill his own family for it. Keldor kidnapped a young Prince Adam to use him as a hostage as to force the Eldress in giving the power of Castle Grayskull to him, leading Keldor to be cursed due to his greedy ambitions and narcissistic desires. He tried to kill the Masters of the Universe several times in the story. He shows no care for ANYONE whatsoever including to his own comrades as he never trusted them and knew that they were going to betray him, he purposely mislead them into getting Kirbinite for him so he can use it to amplify the havoc in order to control them instead of sharing the power with them. He even mistreats and belittles his minions. He sucked the life energy of 10 royal guards leading them to turn into stone, this would count as mass murder since they are clearly dead and something we never seen any other character do. When he return to Adam and discovered that he is suffering from amnesia, Keldor used this opportunity to manipulate him into lowering his guard right before he snatches the sword from him and had Evil-Lyn and Kronis blow up Adam and his friends with rocket launchers. He then used the sword to open Castle Grayskull and tried to force Adam into releasing him from his curse. After being defeated, Keldor submits to the havoc and willingly sacrificed his very being for more power by plunging the Havoc Staff into the castle's beam of light. From there, he accepts his new identity as Skeletor. Also, for the first time in the franchise, Skeletor actually breaks the Sword of Power. He tied up the heroes and threw them in a pit where they be corrupted by havoc. When the Red Legion arrived, he used his powers to brainwashed them including the drones. He plotted to take over Eternos with the help of brainwashed soldiers and robots and successfully overthrow Randor, his brother. In his plan for godhood, Skeletor searches for pieces of the Sigil of King Hiss so he control the undead specifically, the race of snake people. He attempted to kill Lord Stratos despite Evil-Lyn warning him twice not to do so because that would lead to an all out war with Avion but Skeletor ignored her. Skeletor then takes away her powers and banishes her from the castle for being correct.
He rudely dismisses Duncan on the possibility of sharing the same birthday as him because he didn't want him to ruin his day and strongly dislikes him to the point of wishing nonexistence, ironically. Skeletor threw his wishing stone into space because he randomly assumes that Duncan was going to leave him behind in the castle's lockdown and then fought over the stone so he can destroy it. Despite making a decent cake and trying to cheer him up since it was his birthday, Skeletor still hates him and remains his enemy. He arrives at Avion to fight the Masters of the Universe because, thanks to Duncan, he discovers Castle Grayskull was there. Skeletor had his army to attack Avion and boost himself and the other Dark Masters powers to gain advantage during that he blast He-Man so hard it push him off a ledge. Skeletor tells Kronis and R'Qazz he will give them god-like power once he becomes one but this , of course, is false given he was manipulating them and never intended in sharing his powers with his allies, which is what led Kronis and R'Qazz in turning against him. When the Havoc Staff got destroyed, Skeletor transferred his soul into the stone inside Krass's helmet in order to escape death due to this he keeps harassing Krass in spirit and trying to get under her skin. He would then manipulate her into thinking that her friends are going to abandon her and used the grief of Krass losing her parents against her by telling that he would be willing to bring them back if she helps him in his plans. Skeletor had her steal the three sigil pieces and head to Castle Grayskull in taking the Havoc Staff back. He then had her merge the pieces together in completing the Sigil of King Hiss, which led the dead race of Snake people back.
When He-Man arrives to save Krass, he kicks him out the castle and closes the gate while summoning the snakes to attack him. He had the snakes dig underground to find Grayskulls tomb in his plan of merging with the former king's remains, so he can control the castle's power. When seeing He-Man, Randor, and Cringer, Skeletor commands Krass to tell them to let the snakes continue their business or else Randor dies, but got angry when she refuses to say this and revealing their plan of looking for the tomb. He encouraged a fight between He-Men and Krass as to by him some time to release Grayskulls body which is being kept inside a force field. He then orders Krass to throw the Sigil of King Hiss to the ground so the snakes can merge with it becoming a giant snake for He-Man to defeat, this led He-Man to be corrupted by havoc because he had to use it's power to destroy the giant snake from within. Skeletor successfully merges with Grayskull's body and as to show off his power, announces himself as a god to all the people of Eternia while telling them that he plans to convert them to havoc while admitting some may not survive. He forcefully transformed R'Qazz into a Skele-drone and had Krass watch, this would lead her to rebel against him as she was horrified for what he did to R'Qazz and didn't want her parents to be brought back as Skeletor's pawns, which is something he admits he could do. Skeletor grabbed Krass and tried to make her suffer by putting more havoc in her body.
Skeletor combined the powers of the Havoc Staff and Sword of Power to become an all powerful dragon, he uses this chance to rip a tear in the sky to get to the heart of the universe for the sole purpose of changing reality itself. After his defeat and reverted back to his human form, Keldor refuses to change his ways while not understanding why his nephew restore him despite having the power of the universe in his hands. Before he was taken away, Keldor throws a warning of an incoming threat that he saw in the center of the universe but this was not done out of genuine concern more so to mock his family because they don't know what to expect.
Mitigating Factors[]
Now I already talk about how evil he is as a person but there is some pointers that I need to talk about because I felt there is going to be a point of someone mentioning it and using it as an argument against him.
- Skeletor is a funny dude: Since this is Skeletor we are talking and the fact this is a kids show, there is, of course, a comedy problem. There is moments in the show where Skeletor makes a joke or have a comedic moment usually a quick one. Despite that, I don't think this is preventing for him mainly that he is still taken pretty seriously by the plot and characters themselves and viewed as a genuine threat. The jokes are usually quick and don't distract how evil he is as a person, in a matter fact, it actually showcases his evil personality. The jokes just show how sadistic and ego-driven he is. A good example of this is the birthday episode, where Skeletor is teleported to Duncan during a lockdown of Castle Grayskull. Despite some funny moments of Duncan trying to cheer him up with Skeletor complementing the cake Duncan made, he still remains an asshole to him and suspected Duncan of working against him. His perspective on Duncan didn't even change despite being stuck with him and still view him as an enemy. Another would be him saying "are you coup-blocking me" to his traitorous allies but the scene itself illustrates how little he views them to the point of seeing their betrayal a mile away. Skeletor is so full of himself, he's willing to make a dry quip on his situation showing how confidant he is in his abilities.
- Keldor was insane and the havoc made him worse: This is a big no mainly that Keldor was already an evil person before obtaining havoc. The flashbacks that has been shown suggest he was already a power-obsessed man who wanted the power of Castle Grayskull to himself. Though the havoc made him worse, it just merely increase his already narcissistic personality and other evil traits he has. It's Keldor's fault that he was cursed with havoc but he willing accepted the curse because he loved the power it offered to him with the Havoc Staff. Despite the amount of power that can corrupt a person, Keldor enjoys it and sought more of it so he can turn himself into a god. As a person, he just has delusions of grandeur, something the show brings up a few times, and by the end of the series he still remains the same as before.
Final Verdict[]
“ | Keldor: Of all the things you could have done with the true Power of the Universe at your fingertips, why do this? Why restore me? Adam: Because it was the right thing to do. I wouldn't expect you to understand. |

~ Thanks, Adam, you said it best. |
A massive yes to this bag of bones. Skeletor is a narcissistic, power-hungry, greedy man, who only sought power to satisfy his ego and delusions of grandeur. He has no care for anyone whatsoever and plotted to obtain things that he thinks belong to him. Skeletor has personal villainy towards his family, he tried to kill them several times and wanted to overthrow his brother, and Krass, due to manipulating her into his services and lying of bringing her parents back.
