What's the work?[]
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is a 2019 film taking place sometime after2014's Godzilla where the world had become aware of the existence of Kaijus/the Titans. And now you have an ecoterrorist group led by Alan Jonah who intends on releasing the Titans to "cure" the Earth. One of which is the King of Terror, the three-headed monster, King Ghidorah.
What does he do?[]
Upon first awakening from his prison, one of the first things that Ghidorah does is slaughtering every human that he sees in sadistic fashion such as by vaporizing them or eating them alive. Godzilla arrives, a "rival alpha," and they fight only for Ghidorah to get the upper hand and escape. He then sends a psychic message to all of the other Kaiju to awaken with the singular purpose of destroying everything, its goal being to modify the Earth into conditions that it found pleasurable. The Titans awaken and they start leveling cities, massacring human civilizations.
A young girl named Madison Robertson takes the Orcs (a device used to stimulate signals to awaken the Titans) and attempts on relocating them to release the Titans from Ghidorah's control. Ghidorah then goes to hunt her down...even when she loses the signal, leveling Boston in the process. Godzilla is revived because of Dr. Serizawa's sacrifice by detonating a nuke to empower him. Mothra also assists in empowering Godzilla before she is killed by Ghidorah. After Emma had a change of heart and sacrifices herself to buy Godzilla some time, and Godzilla achieves his "burning mode," and completely vaporizes Ghidorah. Though he may or may not be dead since the credits show Jonah purchasing one of Ghidorah's heads from some fishermen.
Heinous standard[]
Unlike with Godzilla who did flood out most of Hawaii when emerging, Ghidorah actively chooses to target humans solely because he takes sadistic pleasure in killing them. Even if they serve as no threat to him at all, Ghidorah would still kill them for no other reason than because he can. It is not like the predatory M.U.T.O.s from the first film. He is not treated as a predator or a violent animal. He is an alien from outer space an otherwise virus plighting the Earth.
Mitigating factors[]
It's Ghidorah. There are none. It wants to destroy humanity and reform the Earth simply for his own selfish reasons.
No Sympathy[]
A no on sympathy there. It takes sadistic pleasure in killing whatever is around him and is sapient enough to know that what it does is wrong but does so anyway. It is pretty much referred to as the Devil in the film.
