I googled about this movie, and I think I can provide an argument on why Corky from the 1994 film, Fresh, is not Pure Evil.
Why Corky Does Not Qualify[]
While it’s true that Corky is a drug dealer and murderer, he did compliment Fresh for standing up for himself. While he was about to kill Fresh with chains as a message for rival drug dealers, Fresh lies and says that his henchman Jake (who is more evil than Corky; he graphically kills a kid just for beating him in a basketball game) was forcing him to sell for him. Corky was quick enough to believe the lie, and ask Hector, another henchman, to get to the bottom of this while he whips Jake and Red to death with the chains. When Fresh said that he was holding for James, Corky doesn’t kill Fresh then either. Instead, Fresh goes to Esteban’s warehouse to tell him that Corky jumped him. This eventually leads to a violent shootout with Corky and James getting killed, and Esteban getting arrested, because of Fresh effectively lying his way to get out of trouble.
Also, I have to question the premise of this movie. This takes place in New York City, deep in ghetto life, and every bad guy or jerk is racist, a drug dealer, or just unpleasant. Yet, Corky does not do enough to stand out. Jake stood out in this movie more than he did.
