Mother Gothel (Disney's Tangled)
This proposal is about Madame Gothel (aka Mother Gothel) from the 2010 Disney film Tangled.
Who Is She?/What Has She Done?[]
Mother Gothel is an evil sorceress who is the main antagonist of the film Tangled. She kidnapped Rapunzel as a baby for the latter's magical hair, and kept hair as a prisoner in a hidden tower for 18 years, until Flynn Rider came and revealed the truth to the latter.
Heinous Standard[]
Mother Gothel is extremely selfish, manipulative and narcissistic and she wants to remain young and beautiful forever by any means necessary. She takes advantage of the Rapunzel magical hair's powers and she does everything to keep Rapunzel in the tower forever. She constantly insults Rapunzel, purposely lowers the latter's self-esteem, avoids familial contact with the princess, and riles up her anxiety with warnings of exaggerated dangers the latter could run into if she'd ever leave, all for her own selfish gain. Near the end of the film and also near her death, she stabbed Flynn Rider with a knife so he could not save Rapunzel while chaining Rapunzel and forcefully dragging the latter the tower, only for Rapunzel to ask her to release her so she could heal him before going away with the former, to which she agrees, and the very thing that led to her death after Flynn Rider cut Rapunzel's hair.
Freudian Excuse[]
She is evil just for the sake of being evil. There is nothing that suggest that there was a disaster that drove her to be this way.
Individual Capability[]
As I stated above, she is very manipulative, but also very cunning and clever, as she cleverly disguised her true nature in a façade of a loving mother, whose only concerns is for Rapunzel's safety. She also manipulates Rapunzel into thinking that the outside world is dangerous and that the people there would take advantage of her hair (which shows Mother Gothel hypocritical side, as she is one of the people who would take advantage of Rapunzel's hair).

Worst[]
She stabbed Flynn Rider with a knife to prevent him from making Rapunzel escape, which almost resulted in his death if it wasn't for Rapunzel to save him.
Verdict[]
Mother Gothel can be considered pure evil from any perspective. There is absolutely nothing with which to redeem her. She is evil beyond redemption and is in my opinion, she should be qualified. At least I can say that Maleficent truly cared for Diablo, but the only thing Mother Gothel cared for was her own youth and Rapunzel's magical hair, and she never actually loved Rapunzel in the first place.
