Here we are with yet another PE Proposal, this time we bring you Barry the Chopper from Fullmetal Alchemist. Not the Brotherhood version, but the 2003 iteration of Barry, who is far more cruel and sadistic than his Brotherhood counterpart. Without further ado, lets get the proposal started!
Who is he?/What has he done?[]
Barry the Chopper became a serial killer when he killed his own wife out of sadistic pleasure, and even chopping up young women in an "artistic" manner, going as far as to kill off helpless Ishbalans because well, he doesn't care. He kills people for a living. It wasn't until his soul was soon inside the body armor, but that's the gist of it. In all honesty, he makes his Brotherhood counterpart far more likeable.
Heinous Standards[]
Being a serial killer isn't remotely enough and Barry sets the bar high when it comes to killing his victims, mainly women, but also others as well if they were to cross paths with him, or if he sees them fit for killing. And this was after a feud with his own wife that led to chopping her up limb by limb and taking extreme joy of it meant he went on to kill others, especially when it comes to cross-dressing in order to lure women into their gruesome fates.
Even after being imprisoned for his crimes, it didn't stopped Barry from committing crimes, even after his soul was transferred into a suit of armor in Laboratory 5. Even after seeing that Al's soul was affixed into an armor himself, he scoffs it off and belittles him into thinking that they're nothing more than forgotten memories. To top it off, he didn't cared about his own past whatsoever.
Mitigating Factors[]
While his Brotherhood counterpart was far less heinous and was more into helping others out, this version has no redeemable qualities at all. He didn't cared who he kills, and he'd delightfully kill children if given the chance, which shows what a horrible being he is. Dante is as evil as she is unmerciful, and Barry the Chopper is of no exception. For him, killing his victims is as natural as breathing, and it gives other, hardened serial kills a run for their money.
Final Verdict[]
Of the crimes Barry committed, this passes an easy yes for me. As always, up to you people to see if Barry the Chopper (2003 version) meets the criteria or not.
