Manuel Vázquez Gallego, better known by his surname Vázquez, is the main antagonist of the Spanish movie Spy Time.
He was portrayed by Carlos Areces, who also portrayed Francisco Franco in Tarancón: The 5th Commandment, The Queen of Spain, Bikini: A Real Story and The Tragedy of Francisco Franco, Agustín Gordillo and Patricio Requena in La que se avecina and Minister Boyero in Heroes Wanted, and voiced Mr. Robbins in Ozzy.
Plot[]
Anacleto is transferring Vázquez to another prison, when suddenly, the latter's two henchmen Joe el Carnicero and Mac el Molécula shoot the prison van with a bazooka and help him escape, then Joe knocks out Anacleto.
Vázquez meets Anacleto's boss, where the latter demands the money for telling him about Anacleto's hideout. Vázquez also wants access to some explosives. The boss refuses and threatens Vázquez with a gun for the money. Turns out the briefcase only had a few euros and stamps. Vázquez tells the boss his henchmen invested their loot in the philatelic forum. The boss gives him 24 hours to get the money he promised.
Vázquez gets a call from Katia's mother telling him Anacleto and his son are in their house, so he sends Joe and Mac there.
Adolfo and Katia are tied to a post. Vázquez asks Adolfo where his father is. Adolfo tells him about how they had a distant relationship, then he and Katia start arguing. Vázquez ends up sick of it and stabs Katia in the eye with a tenterhook. In the end, Adolfo tells him he's going to the meeting point.
Later, Adolfo and Katia are tied to a bomb. Vázquez calls Anacleto on a phone he sent a little girl to give him, and tells him the bomb both are tied to is connected to Adolfo's heart, and it will be deactivated when it stops.
Vázquez appears, disguised as a technician and tells the heroes he can't do anything to disarm the bomb. When he sees Anacleto reanimating his son after stopping his hear, he leaves and takes off his disguise.
Adolfo sees Vázquez, Joe and Mac in the parking lot and starts shooting uncontrollably, and misses all the shots. Anacleto gives him his pistol, and he manages to shoot Mac dead.
After Joe's death, Vázquez appears again, ready to crash his van against Anacleto's and Adolfo's car. Adolfo is struggling with the seatbelt, so Anacleto shoots it and pushes Adolfo out of the car. Vázquez crushes the car with Anacleto inside with his van.
Adolfo finds a bloodstain in a closet and shoots it, which makes Vázquez appear behind him. The latter starts gloating, but turns out he stepped on a chewing gum which blows him up.
