The Villains' International League of Evil, V.I.L.E. for short, is a league made of the most dangerous thieves and criminals in time and in the world, led by Carmen Sandiego.

history

1985 computer games and 1984 cartoon series

V.I.L.E was created by the crime mistress herself, Carmen Sandiego after she left the ACME Detective Agency, stealing treasures from around the world and leaving clues behind for ACME agents Zack and Ivy, under the guidance of the Chief, to find in order to capture her.

2019 Netflix series

The organization was founded by five people during the medieval times, which is why their symbol was a V, the Roman numeral for five.

Before Shadowsan (Suhara) left and betrayed V.I.L.E.'s faculty, Gunnar Maelstrom, Coach Brunt, Dr. Sarah Bellum, Countless Cleo, and Shadowsan taught thieves-in-training on an island part of the Canary Islands, its headquarters, along with an academy training young operatives into committing criminal activity, on said island. After Shadowsan's betrayal, the faculty went a search for a new faculty member, which turned out to be Roundabout.
