The Vacuum is the main antagonist of the mini comic The Adventures of Dog Man in Captain Underpants and the Terrifying Return of Tippy Tinkletrousers and a supporting antagonist of the first book in the Dog Man series of the same name.
It is a robot created by Petey the Cat to destroy the new cop Dog Man.

The Adventures of Dog Man[]
Dog Man was the greatest cop ever, but he had one mortal fear: vacuum cleaners! When Petey found out, he got to work on an evil vacuum robot.
When Petey unleashed it, it went to go rob a bank. The cops heard and sent Dog Man to solve the problem. Then, Dog Man saw it was a vacuum cleaner and ran away, with the vacuum following.
The vacuum followed Dog Man up to a dead end, and it lunged, until the charging cord for it was yanked out from the charging table, turning it off. Then, Dog Man beat up the vacuum and arrested Petey.
Dog Man[]
The vacuum returns in the first book of the Dog Man series, as the first chapter is a retelling of The Adventures of Dog Man. When Petey learned he had unwittingly created Dog Man, he had thought of the idea to create a vacuum to vacuum up Dog Man.
When he unleashes it, it chases Dog Man up to the sea, vacuuming a surfboard during it. Then, it came into the sea to vacuum up Dog Man, but it ends up also vacuuming sea water. Meanwhile, Petey, who was riding on the vacuum, climbed up the suspension bag to the top and wanted to jump off.
To delay his landing, he grabbed onto the bag, but ended up ripping it, destroying the vacuum. Then, Dog Man saved Petey from drowning on top of the surfboard the vacuum originally vacuumed and handcuffed him.
