“ | The Valahia are thought to be comprised of extremists from former Eastern European nations, and headed by a man known as Nicolae Dumitrescu. However, the scope of the attacks suggests they receive additional financial resources from elsewhere. | „ |
~ A BNN World reporter on Valahia and its actions. |
Valahia was a terrorist organization that served as the initial antagonistic faction of the video game Ace Combat: Joint Assault. Its founder, Nicolae Dumitrescu, pursued the restoration of communist rule in Eastern Europe through violent means, and to counter its threat, the International Union Peacekeeping Force was created. It was later revealed that Valahia was a pawn of the businessman Andre Olivieri who instigated the conflict for his own means.
History[]
The Valahia was formed at some point after the fall of the Soviet Union by Nicolae Dumitrescu and other like-minded individuals. They were eventually hired by the insurance businessman Andre Olivieri to stage worldwide terrorist attacks, providing them with advanced weaponry, including flying fortresses Spiridus and Orgoi, to do so. The first city to fall victim to their terror was Tokyo. The organization would later attack Tokyo again, but the city was defended by the Antares Squadron of Martinez Security, forcing them to retreat. Despite this, Dumitrescu managed to convince another mercenary squadron, led by Milosz Sulejmani, to defect to his side.
The IUPF continued to counter-attack Valahia in Europe, Asia, North Africa and Middle East, greatly reducing their fighting capacity. Eventually, Valahia's leaders retreated to an abandoned nuclear missile silo, threatening to launch missiles at North America and Europe if their demands were not met. Antares Squadron infiltrated their stronghold and stopped the missile launch, causing the silo to explode and kill Dumitrescu and his cohorts, ending Valahia's threat once and for all.
