Valder Farkill, also known as the Dark General of Destruction, is a major antagonist of the manga New Mobile Report Gundam Wing Dual Story: G-Unit. An ace pilot working under OZ is a power-hungry figure who desires to take over the group for himself. He is the pilot of Hydra Gundam, and is mentioned to have piloted a black-colored Leo, although it is never seen in the manga.

Personality[]

Valder is a cold-hearted man that have no problems in getting civilians killed, shooting down all of the escape shuttles from the MO-V for no reason. He even coldly shot down Broom Brooks just for objecting his take over of OZ Prize, and remarked that the Armonia Sisters no longer serve any purpose when firing Grand Chario's main cannon at them. Having a great deal of confidence and pride in his piloting skills, he desires to duel with OZ's leader, Treize Khushrenada, in a bid to take command over OZ.

Biography[]

Valder is an ace pilot who gained the nickname of the "Dark General of Destruction" after he killed a great deal of people during a rebellion against the Alliance. At some point, the traitorous Dr. Berg, feeling unsatisfied with OZ Prize's Stardust Knight's ability, would secretly build the Hydra Gundam and contract Valder to take part in his schemes.

As the civilians started to evacuate from the MO-V colony via space shuttles under the watch of Stardust Knights member Broom Brooks and Roche Nattono. Valder suddenly shot down two space shuttles with his Hydra Gundam, announcing to everyone that he is now taking over as the new leader of OZ Prize. Broom objected and confronted Valder, only for Valder to shoot down Broom's Leo-N with ease. Knowing that he is a threat to the remaining space shuttles, Odin duels Valder, but he is unable to hit the Hydra Gundam even with the help of PX-System. This allows Valder to shot down the two remaining space shuttles before leaving the scene, with Kratz Silvy dealing the killing blow to the Leo-S.

Later, Sliver Crown, who is really just Odel Bernett in disguise, proposed a plan to Valder where Silver Crown would ram an asteroid into MO-V as an operation. Valder and Berg accepted this offer, while Kratz was disturbed by it. However, Valder was aware that Odel is simply using this operation as an undercover to transport the Gundam Griepe to MO-V, attacking them with the Hydra Gundam in response. With help from Kratz and his Leo-R, he overpowered Sliver Crown's Gundam Aesculapius and blasted him to the asteroid, breaking his mask and revealing his identity as Odel. Kratz volunteered to finish Odel off, but Odin stepped in in time with Gundam Griepe, destroying the Leo-R's arms. Odin challenged Valder, to which the duel ended with a damaged Hydra Gundam and the two villains forced into a retreat.

Being impressed by Gundam Griepe's abilities, Valder sent Luna Armonia to infiltrate MO-V. However, thanks to information from Roche who recognized her, Odin was able to catch Luna. With a bomb threat, Luna forced Odin to launch out in the Hydra Gundam, where he was captured. After the Armonia Sisters took him to Valder, Odin confronted his foe about his act on attacking MO-V and why he started this meaningless battle, to which he then told him that it was out of a desire to succeed. Later, Roche would volunteer to save Odin with the Gundam L.O. Booster. After defeating and sparing Kratz, the Armonia Sisters weee sent to fight Roche. At the same time, Berg let Odin go so that he could witness Odin's power, ending with the heroes breaking the Armonia's formation. Before anything else could happen though, Valder had the Grand Chario to fire its main beam cannon to them, not caring that the Armonia Sisters were caught in the blast and coldly commenting that they have already outlived their usefulness. Despite this, both Gundams managed to survive.

Before the final showdown between MO-V and OZ Prize, Berg gave a speech to his followers. Valder then asked if Berg wanted to take over the world, which the mad scientist confirmed. Valder further replied that he wasn't interested, and only wanted to prove that he is the strongest pilot by killing Treize Khushrenada.

The final battle started with both sides sending out their Mobile Dolls and pilots to fight. After Odel stayed to confront Kratz and the Gundam Burnlapius, Odin faced Valder and his Hydra Gundam. Valder was confident that he could defeat Odin, and is able to stand his own against him. As his allies succeeded in slaying their foes, Odin activated the PX-System and started to overpower Valder. Valder, finally feeling threatened, asked who Odin is, who told him of the name of his Gundam. Screaming on how only Treize could fight him like that, Roche gloated of Treize's death at the hands of Chang Wufei,, distracting Valder. Odin then used this opportunity to slice the Hydra Gundam in half, killing its master within the attack.
