Valerie Wilton

Valerie Wilton is the main antagonist (though not revealed at first) of the film The Rezort.

She was portrayed by Claire Goose.

Summary

The Rezort takes place following a zombie apocalypse, which claimed the lives of the protagonist Melanie's family. Humanity managed to repel the zombies and win the war.

Valerie Wilton is the owner of the Rezort, where people can shoot and kill the last remaining zombies following a zombie apocalypse.

Unbeknownst to the guests, Valerie Wilton abducts refugees and transforms them into zombies to ensure she can stay in business, microwaving them so that they do not appear to be fresh and potentially blow her cover. The original zombies had actually long perished.

When a security breach occurs (and a firebombing is set to begin), Valerie Wilton decides to abandon everyone else to die to ensure that she escapes the rezort alive. One of the zombies points their finger at her, foreshadowing that she is the one responsible for their reanimation.

Eventually, she is eaten by the zombies that she created.

Following her death, her cruel actions would result in another potential zombie apocalypse, as the zombies who survived the firebombing began to leave the island.

Trivia

Melanie considers Valerie Wilton to be worse than the zombies, not least due to the fact that she herself converts her abductees into zombies.
