The Vampires are one of the main hostile species that appears in Plague Inc. in the Special Plagues mode. They are created after infection with the Shadow Plague, and can be controlled by the player directly.
These vampires are references to vampires found in popular culture such as Blade, Sesame Street and Twilight, including other films.
Appearance[]
The Vampires from Plague Inc are represented as, one could suppose, humans with a very pale skin and red eyes, their body being completely white, their heads are completely bald, they grow fangs, pointy ears and their nails become claws.
The vampires always wear robes and hoods, commonly purple and black ones.
Powers and Abilities[]
The Vampires obviously have various paranormal powers, such as being able to turn into a bat and fly, they can teleport and regenerate if damaged, unlike normal vampires from other sci-fi works, they are completely immune to sunlight.
The only main weakness from the Vampires are that they are completely dependent from their consumption of human blood, if the vampires stop consuming blood, they starve and die, to stop this, they build lairs in some countries to supply themselves after fighting with humans.
Unlike other entities from the game like the Neurax Worm, the zombies and apes, the vampires are a very small group, usually being only two or three in the game, this happens because the Nox Eternis virus has difficulties finding proper hosts.
According to the game, when the vampires die, they just disappear in a cloud of black smoke.
Biography[]
Is said that a human close to death was infected with the very strange pathogen "Nox Eternis" many centuries ago, after that, this human fell into a long slumber until he became the very first vampire.
Meanwhile the Shadow Plague begins to spread, the vampire will finally awake and start to murder random people that he comes across, feeding of their blood, these killings confound the humans, and they believe that they are facing a serial killer, and later a cult.
The vampire is finally spotted and his existence is later confirmed, a military company known as "Templar Industries" declares that they will dedicate to exterminate the vampire, during this, other vampires can also be born when humans are being infected by the virus, but as said before, this is rare.
Is possible to revive the infamous Count Dracula during the pandemic, the conditions are somewhat hard, but if the player manages to do them, Dracula will be finally revived and he will become another vampire that the player can control.
