Vampires are one of the main antagonists of the action dark fantasy light novel, manga and anime series Seraph of the End. They are blood thirsty creatures who were formal humans that were turned into vampires by injecting blood.

Appearances[]

Vampires still remain mostly the same as their previous appearances when they were humans, although their ears are sharpened, gain fangs, and have their eye colors turned into a darker red color. There are however exceptions for some who are able to conceal their actual appearance with comestic disguises with eye contacts to cover their eye colors such as Saitō.

There are incomplete vampires with Mikaela Hyakuya being the only known one in the series that is resulted when he was injected with vampire blood. Incomplete vampires' features do not change drastically very much like complete vampires as seen Mikaela's appearance after his appearance as a half-vampire.

All vampires lack the absences of temperatures in their body and are ageless beings.

Personality[]

The consumption of vampire blood leads a human to the suppression or loss of emotions, leaving only the most prominent aspects of their personalities intact. Majorly, they develop an insatiable thirst for blood, which becomes their primary and overriding desire. As a result, other desires, including sexual desire, fade away, leaving only the craving for blood.

Due to known possessing eternal life along with the loss of emotions and desires in vampires leads them to boredeom. Many vampires attempt to find something that can capture their interest and provide a sense of purpose to break this weariness. However, vampires who show interest in anything other than blood are considered eccentric within vampire society such as with Ferid Bathory and Krul Tepes and included Mikaela Hyakuya being to be even more special.

Vampire treats humans like brainless livestock. They don'tremember names or faces. The kids can get away with anything.

According to Kureto Hīragi, the General of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, vampires' planning on strategy appears to be simple and also stated that they do not show any informations between enclaves but still however managed to keep their society under control, primarily due to the noble vampires. As a result, Kureto aims demolish the noble vampires as part of his plan to eradicate all vampires across the globe. Morever, some childrens were purposely sent by Kureto to the vampire city after receiving trainings as he noted the vampires do not see childrens as a threat and don't have the capabilities to memorize their slaves' name and faces.
