Vance Medici is a supporting character in the 2006 video game Bully, serving as a supporting antagonist in the third chapter. He is a student at Bullworth Academy, and one of the members of the Greasers clique.
He was voiced by William DeVizia.
Biography[]
Vance thinks he looks terrific and is very conscious of his appearance, especially his hair. He even goes so far as to remark, "Don't even think about touchin' the hair!" during a fight. His favorite conversational topic is his hair. His hair fetish is well-known to his other classmates. It's a subject of occasional jeers from the other Greasers, and rumors circulate that the Preppies once attempted to set it on fire. Puns seem to be his thing, as he's heard inquiring "[the other person] has ever accidentally swallowed a switchblade" in passing conversations.
In the Greasers clique, Vance appears to be highly regarded and possibly a high ranked member as well. When Johnny Vincent isn't around, he usually speaks on their behalf and is regularly spotted alongside Johnny's lieutenants, Norton and Peanut. He is frequently teamed with Lefty on missions.
Jimmy can give Vance a kiss because he is bisexual. He has multiple speaking lines where he is either showing interest in girls or worrying about his image around them, despite the fact that he is sometimes perceived as being completely homosexual.
Bully[]
When Vance first appears, he's dressed as a pirate for Halloween. Except from being a prospective victim, he has no part in the mini-missions.
He makes frequent appearances in Chapter 3. He first appears in the bike park with Johnny during Bait. He keeps showing up in passing during the missions in Chapter 3. In the course of the mission Wrong Part of Town, Johnny abandons him and Norton in the school to assault Cornelius, but they manage to return to New Coventry in time to take part in the remaining missions. He claims to Jimmy during The Rumble that he knows where Johnny is but won't reveal it to him. He is then -alongside Lefty and Peanut- beaten up by Jimmy.
It is Vance who informs Jimmy that the Greasers no longer view him as a friend after Jimmy breaks Johnny out of the Asylum in Chapter 5, but they have spared him because Jimmy rescued Johnny from being set up by the townies for their own purpose.
To retrieve toilet paper from the janitor's cupboard, he assigns Jimmy an errand. Because bikes are better, he asks Jimmy to smash up a car on one of his errands in New Coventry. He is going to give Jimmy a baseball bat for this errand. He is a member of the Greasers dodgeball squad as well.
Additionally, he makes an appearance on the little island in Old Bullworth Vale's bay while dressed as a pirate. He wears a board instead of a sword as part of his outfit. No matter how often it is used, this specific board never breaks, leading many to mistake it for a wooden sword. When Vance arrives on the island, he will assault Jimmy at first sight, no matter which side he belongs to with the Greasers. Vance is never going to be seen on the island again once Jimmy knocks him out. Jimmy also gets a pirate helmet for his inventory for beating him up on the island.
Vance and Lucky are two of the numerous students who purchase test answers from Justin in the mission Cheating Time.
