Vanica Zogratis is a major antagonist in the Black Clover franchise. She is one of the three main antagonists (alongside Dante and Zenon) of the second saga.
She is a member of the Dark Triad, serving as the host of Megicula, and is the sister of Lucius Zogratis, Dante Zogratis and Zenon Zogratis. She rules over the Spade Kingdom alongside her brothers and seeks to expand their forces, conquering the other kingdoms.
She is also one of the arch-enemies (alongside Megicula) of House Silva, particularly to Noelle Silva, as she was responsible for the death of Noelle's mother, Acier.
She is voiced by Yui Ogura in Japanese and Lindsay Seidel in English.
Appearance[]
Vanica is an average-sized woman with short but well-combed hair. She wears an eyepatch on her right eye, which has the Spade Kingdom symbol on it, as well as a crown, similar to Dante's, but smaller.
Like Dante and Zenon, she wears an outfit similar to theirs, though hers is much more feminine. She wears a vest that appears to be held together by belts that form an X shape, along with a mini skirt and belts around her waist. She also wears the same dark-colored jacket as her brothers with a fur collar around it, possessing the Spade Kingdom symbol on the back. She also wears dark-colored, high heel boots.
When Vanica uses 50% of Megicula's power, she gains a more monstrous appearance. She gains large, curved horns that sprout out of her head, as well as wings, reminiscence of the devil's kind. When using 70%, her appearance begins to change more drastically as the darkness begins to expand more on her body and even gives her an arrow-tipped tail in the process.
When Megicula is in full control of Vanica, the right side of her face changes drastically. The entire side turns dark, including her eye and horn, and cracks appear to form around her right eye. She also appears to grow sharper teeth.
Personality[]
Vanica is one that enjoys a good battle, as it keeps her from falling into boredom. In contrast to her brother Dante's more sophisticated personality, Vanica has a more barbaric approach. She desires to fight those that are strong, to the point that she views lesser opponents as "garbage" and are not worth her time. In fact, her main reason for supporting her brother's goal is so that the devils would wipe out the weaker humans and leave her to fight against the stronger ones.
Similar to her brothers, Vanica holds no form of attachment or empathy for others, including her subordinates. Though her subordinates treat her with kindness and care, she cares very little for these things and does not hesitate to use them as disposable pawns. She is just as cruel and ruthless as her brothers as she sent her out her subordinates to attack the Heart Kingdom and demand that they kill even the innocent civilians. She follows no form of a personal code and instead does whatever she can, in order to motivate others into challenging her in battle.
All Vanica cares about is fulfilling her desire for excitement through combat, no matter what harm she has to inflict to get it.

- Blood Magic: Vanica's magic allows her to create and manipulate the attributes of blood. She can cast a spell called Red Beast, which allows her to create a giant monster made out of blood. The monster is attached to the user's body, so the user must stay close to it. S
- Curse-Warding Magic: Vanica can place different curses with different effects on people. She can cast curses that slowly kill people overtime, curses that continually cause people to resurrect or curses that cause the target to generate massive amounts of magic and blow up.

- Devil Possession: Like the other members of the Dark Triad, Vanica is the host of the devil known as Megicula and thus has access to its immense magic power. She can draw up to 70% of its power. Because she is the host of Megicula, she wields power that places her above a high-ranking devil like Zagred, which took the combined forces of powerful human and elves to defeat, including the first Wizard King, Lemiel, and the Elf Tribe leader, Licht. With the gate to the underworld now open, Vanica can draw up to 100% of Megicula's granted power.
- Superhuman Strength: As a result of her demonic powers, Vanica has access to strength that places her far above regular human standards.
