~ Vanishing Gungaroo

Vanishing Gungaroo, formerly Vanishing Gunagrun, is a minor antagonist in Mega Man X7 who serves as a boss. He is a member of the Red Alert Syndicate. His weapon is the Explosion, which sends forwards an energy wave; X can get this by defeating him. Following his transformation into a Maverick thanks to The Professor, Vanishing turned an underground tunnel into a heavy weapons storage with plans to destroy everything in his path.

He is voiced by Rumi Kasahara in the Japanese version and by Lenne Hardt in the English version, making him one of the few male (or masculine) characters to be voiced by a female.

Character Description[]

Personality[]

Despite his position in the Red Alert Syndicate, Vanishing Gungaroo has a mind of a child, being somewhat immature. It's implied he had a bit of a younger brother to a mischievous older brother relationship with Axl prior to his infection with the virus. He takes offense to being called a kid, and his goal is to have others to see him as mature, including his allies and enemies. After he became a Maverick, he had a liking on wanting to destroy everything in his path. Despite his childlike demeanor he's skilled at piloting machines, fighting, and agility. He is difficult to take down because of this.

Physical Appearance[]

Vanishing Gungarun resembles a pink kangaroo with a golden muzzle and grey tail. His hands are covered in red boxing gloves.

His Weapon[]

Vanishing Gungarun wields the Explosion, firing powerful energy waves. X can do the same from his Buster, as can Axl from his guns. Roll is

Biography[]

Vanishing Gungaroo was once a vigilante member of the Red Alert Syndicate. Gungaroo and his team would bounty hunt those who went Maverick. Vanishing Gungaroo is a juvenile delinquent who's skilled at operating large machinery. He is respected by his members for his agility, fighting, and piloting skills. At one point The Professor approached the syndicate with something that would make them more powerful. Although they went through the reprogramming, Gungaroo alongside his team members went Maverick. After going Maverick, he went into an underground tunnel system and turned it into a heavy weapons storage to destroy everything in his path. The Maverick Hunters infiltrated his base, pursued him, destroyed his machine, and defeated him in combat, leading to his demise.

Battle[]

Due to his machine, Vanishing Gungarun has two phases to his battle. The first phase involves dealing with Gungarun's machine. After X and company destroy the mecha.

  • Vanishing Gungarun: "Aw, shaddup! Don't order me around, ya pile of scrap metal!"
  • X: "Shoot... Looks like there's no choice to fight..."
