|Jafar says: Read my lips and come to grips with the reality!|
Vanya Shah is a minor antagonist in HITMAN 2 (2018), appearing as one of the two secondary targets (alongside Dawood Rangan) of the latter's fourth story mission "Chasing a Ghost".
Childhood friends with Wazir Kale and Dawood Rangan, young Vanya Shah grew up penniless, forced to turn to a life of crime to survive. Part of the street gang the Crows, she honed her combat skills and became a lethal assassin.
Escaping Mumbai after the local Mafia dissolved the Crows, Shah joined her friends and formed a pirate crew. Shah never got used to life as a pirate and the constant paranoia took a toll on her sanity. She finally snapped after a failed raid on the Frances King shipline and was subsequently abandoned by Kale. She found her way back to Mumbai to make her own fortune.
In the present, Shah effectively rules the slums of Mumbai, controlling the water and electricity supply. Butting heads with Rangan, who had become a Bollywood producer, she eventually resolves to have him assassinated.
Vanya Shah rules the Mumbai slums with an iron fist. Uncaring of her subjects, she refuses to provide them with essential services if they are unable to pay her with anything. It is shown that she had developed a God complex and became incredibly narcissistic, proclaiming herself the Queen of the slums.
The little goodness that remains in Shah is shown through the treatment of her advisor, Rima. Rima, gruesomely disfigured by a bullet she took for Vanya in their pirating days, is the one person she trusts and cares for.
