The Vehicons are a militaristic group that act as the main forces of Megatron during Beast Machines. Originally they were mindless drones that worked in a perfect harmony. However, due to the arrival of the Maximals, their individuality made it hard for Megatron to detain them individually, so he took the sparks of three other Transformers, and added them to some drones to make them his generals.
History[]
Pre-Series[]
While he was hanging onto the side of the Maximal's escape shuttle, Megatron fell off and was boosted ahead of them to Cybertron. Seeing organic life as a disease and individuality a sickness, Megatron decided to remake the planet in his own image. He started by creating a virus that prevented Cybertronians from transforming and built three styles of drones: Tanks, Cycles, and Jets. With them, Megatron extracted the sparks from the populace, storing them on the moon.
Season 1[]
When the Maximals arrived, they were ambushed and overwhelmed. The virus also reversed the Transmetal forms of Optimus Primal, Rattrap, Cheetor, and Blackarachnia, giving them short term amnesia. Escaping to the underground, the team ran into the Oracle, a sentient computer that converted the Maximals from robotic to techno-organic life forms. With their new abilities, the Maximals were able to make several key hits to Megatron. At the idea of the Diagnostic Drone, Megatron took the sparks of Waspinator, Silverbolt, and Rhinox and turned them into his Vehicon Generals Thrust, Jetstorm, and Tankor respectively. During one battle, Rattrap hacked into Tankor and learned who he really was. This had the unfortunate effect of corrupting Tankor, who sought to usurp Megatron as leader of Cybertron. To do so, Tankor got ahold of the Key to Vector Sigma, a legendary super weapon. Megatron was aware of this, and had plans to do away with Tankor. During the struggle, Megatron was seemingly destroyed along Tankor. What no one knew was Megatron was able to transfer his spark to his failed experiment, Savage, a Dragon/Werewolf transformer.
Season 2[]
After tricking the Maximals into helping him using the alias Noble, Megatron was able to transfer to a large ship modeled after his head, and resumed his work in purging organic life. Not wanting to go without her lover, Blackarachnia used a prototype device on Jetstorm that extracted his spark and gave him a new Techno-Organic Condor form, Silverbolt. With the later addition of Botanica to the Maximal ranks, Megatron decided to add to his own in the form of Obsidian and Strika, two of Cybertron's greatest generals. As his generals fought, Megatron attempted to create a new body, and decided to make a pure robotic duplicate of Optimus' Optimal Body. With this, Megatron absorbed the sparks he had stolen with the intent of using the Oracle and Vector Sigma to remake Cybertron. Optimus would sacrifice himself and Megatron by throwing the two into Cybertron's core, turning the planet Techno-Organic and ending Megatron's reign.
