~ Veil Invincible to the heroes. |
Markus Sebastian "Mark" Grayson, also known as Invincible or "Veil Invincible", is a minor antagonist in the Invincible comics and its animated adaptation.
He is voiced by Steven Yeun, who also played all the other Alternate Mark Graysons, A. Traveler in The Twilight Zone, Ricky "Jupe" Park in Nope and Danny Cho in Beef.
Biography[]
Background[]
Not much is known about Veil Mark's home world apart from the fact that he turned evil. However in the comics, he at some point was very familiar with Cyberforce and knew everything about them, and presumably killed them in his dimension.
Invincible War[]
Veil Mark would eventually be recruited by Angstrom Levy to go to the main universe and unleash hell to give the main Mark a bad reputation.
Comic[]
On Day 2, he would reunite with Cyberforce and engage in a long fight with them. He then in a lengthy speech reveals how well he knew them and that this would be their last fight according to him. This really wouldn't be the case. Main Mark and Eve eventually join in and in an unseen fight, Veil Mark would ultimately get killed by the latter and be turned into a ReAniman.
Series[]
In the animated series, Veil Mark's story would be very similar. But instead of him fighting Cyberforce, he fights a group of the show original superheroes. Main Mark and Eve would join in and help fight Veil Mark, giving him a pretty good beating. Veil Mark admits that they were stronger than he thought, but they would've beat him already if they didn't waste time protecting the others. Omni-Mark would later join in out of the blue to engage in a 2v2. After another long fight, Eve would be hospitalized. Omni-Mark tells main Mark that he can't save Eve and fight his two evil variants at the same time, and Veil Mark adds that main Mark is fucked, dude. In the end, ReAnimen come in out of the sky and pin the two down, and this is where Veil Mark is never seen again. He was likely killed and was turned into a ReAniman, just like his comic counterpart.
Trivia[]
- Veil Mark would be one of two Mark variants to fully cover their face, with the other being Dark Mark.
- Veil Mark has the most distinguishable accent of the bunch, having some sort of western accent.
