The Velo Mask is a minor antagonist in the Crash Bandicoot video game series, first appearing in Crash Nitro Kart. It's a tiki mask that assists Emperor Velo XXVII and his champions in races against the representatives of Earth.

Crash Nitro Kart[]
Velo Mask's origins are never elaborated upon. All that it's known is that it protects the racers who are on Velo's side from hazards and puts them back on the track whenever they fall off of it, and is thus, directly or by proxy, antagonistic towards Crash Bandicoot and Neo Cortex's teams, who are aiming to win the races so that Velo lets them go home and leaves the Earth alone.
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled[]
In early versions of the game, Nitros Oxide and other alien racers used Uka Uka as their mask during races. In a later patch, Velo Mask was added to fulfill said role for them instead. King Chicken and Iron Checkpoint Crate can also use the Velo Mask, as they are protected by all masks that are in the game.
