What a joy it will be for us to get one last chance to kill you, Parker!Venom to Spider-Man.
Symbiote--already dying. I was--no longer--suitable host...Eddie's last words.
Edward Brock, also known as Venom, is a supporting antagonist in the 2006 miniseries Marvel Zombies. Eddie along with almost every other hero and villain became a flesh eating zombie after Sentry of Earth-91126 came on their dimension.
Little is known about Eddie's life before the zombie plague occurs on Earth-2149, but it can be presumed is most likely the same as his Earth-616 counterpart.
The Zombie Plague
After Sentry landed on Earth-2149, he infected the Avengers, causing them to spread the virus all over the world. After about 24 hours, almost every hero and villain was turned.
After the cosmic zombies finished working their secret weapon, they go back to Times Square, only to find a horde of zombified villains attacking Galactus, even managing to wear him down a bit.
As they put in a few last minutes adjustments, they assemble around the device and fire right at the planet eater. The first blast visibly shakes the giant, the second blast causes him to crash down to the ground, sending the villains to run from the falling planet eater. Once Galactus was down, the villains rush back to him as they planned to devour the giant. However, they were stopped by their arch-enemies, as they claim "Our kill, our feast!". A fight breaks between the cosmic zombies and the zombified super-villains.
Venom face-to-face with Spider-Man for one last time. He manages to land a hit on him before getting a shot in the chest by Spider-Man, who questions the dying Eddie if he was ok, since Venom was always good at fighting. The dying Eddie explains that the Symbiote was no longer wanted him due to being a zombie. As the Symbiote slipped off Eddie, he fells to the ground dead as the alien suit slithered away.
- He was created by Mark Millar and Greg Land.
- As Eddie Brock stated that the Venom symbiote was dying due his zombification making him no longer able to be a good host, this means that the symbiotes aren't affected by the Hunger Virus but can't hold on zombified bodies for long.
