Viceroy Villegas is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside El Charro Negro) of the 2016 animated film La Leyenda del Chupacabras. He is the leader of the royalist forces and their highest authority together with Fernando VII de Borbón.
Biography[]
He is in charge of sending the troops of Torreblanca to the insurgents to attack them during "the independece war", freeing New Spain from his revolutionary forces.
At the end of the film, Galeana sends a captured Torreblanca to Villegas, in order to deliver an important letter written by Morelos in order to stop the hostilities towards the insurgents by his government, which uses the royalist army for that purpose.
