Victoria Elizabeth Vale better known by her stage-name, Vicki Vale, is a supporting antagonist of My Adventures with Superman. She is Perry White's childhood friend and Lois Lane's former idol turned arch-rival.
She is voiced by Andromeda Dunker.
Biography[]
Background[]
Not much of Vicki's past is known, what is known is that she knew Perry White when they were in college. Vicki ran the number 1 student newspaper in the country while Perry was number 2.
Years later, Vicki has become a reporting prize winner for her hard hitting evidences on Gotham's criminal underworld and gained the idolization of young Lois Lane, who looked up to her and dreamed to become a reporter just like her.
Zero Day Part 1[]
Vicki came to Metropolis to get to work on a story, telling Perry that she might leave behind the Gotham Gazette to work for the Daily Planet if she gets a great story. Perry tasks Lois and Jimmy to work with her and later she explains her assignment to them: she wants to expose Superman as an evil menace to society. Despite the pleas from the two interns for her to reconsider or to not go from a biased angle and take the positive comments from the citizens of Metropolis, Vicki eventually selected her sources and got what she wanted.
Her interview with Lex Luthor was the final "evidence" she needed, as Alex recalled how Superman stopping Ivo's rampage caused AmazoTech to lose some money, costing thousands of people their jobs and that a being with such powers cannot be trusted to never use them in harmful ways. Lois was disappointed that her hero was a terrible person but didn't go to defend Superman at the moment.
Vicki simply says she didn't get to where she was by publishing the good news, sometimes you have to go "out for blood" to get the real story. Vicki startled Perry by departing from the Daily Planet. Later, the Gotham Gazette announced that her alarming story on Superman was going to get her a promotion to be the editor-in-chief of the news. She had used and manipulated the Daily Planet as a means to just get credit and further her career.
Fullmetal Scientist[]
She comes back to Metropolis as she along with Lois was asking CEO Weston where Dr. Irons was (which he didn't tell truthfully). She then sees her former fan saying she should've known she'd be present after her promotion and "complements" Lois' rebuttal to her Superman article and says it was outstanding. Lois then said it was nice that she read her writing, but then goes to the Palma Tech building where Weston was. Vicki smirked perniciously as she walked away.
She then asked Audrey to get in the building for ten minutes since she knew their recruiter. The latter said she could have an eternity and let the latter in exclusively, then she "says sorry" to Lois and says no one scoops her. In the building, when Weston didn't answer any of her questions, she snuck away to find out the proof. She and Lois then compete to find out what is happening at Amer Tech. When a guard shows up, the two both ran away to get out of the building to find their evidence. Lois asked Vicki which way do they go to get to where they're going, the latter elbows her to get out the building faster, then steals the security card and locks Lois in the building. She was surprised that Lois got out of the building first as the latter was riding on the back of a garbage truck. She then runs after her.
When Lois went to see Superman, Irons, Jimmy and Flip, Vicki also drops in and saw Superman and said today just got good to herself. She then asked to get an interview with Irons, but he said they need to warn everyone before the moment. She was also ducking as Livewire arrived. During the battle where Superman and Irons (who now calls himself Steel) were facing Weston and his robots, she along with Lois, Jimmy and Flip try to get in the Palma Tech building, but the door was locked so they couldn't see if Superman's okay (or for Vale to get her story). She was also watching the footage of Steel stopping the Metallos on Flip's drone while it blasts at the bots.
Just as she was about to gloat about filing her story to Lois, she was shocked to see that the latter was writing the story on her phone all day and said "no one scoops Lois Lane". She then offers Lois a job at the Gotham Gazette for beating her and saying she has what it takes to be extraordinary. Lois was excited to work with her, but didn't want to leave Metropolis. Vicki then tells Lois she's ambitious and predicts sooner she'll have to leave Metropolis. She is last seen giving Lois her card to think about accepting her offer.

Trivia[]
- Vicki Vale is a character in the Batman franchise in DC Comics debuting in 1948, she is a reporter and has occasionally been a romantic interest to Batman or his real name Bruce Wayne. She was pulled out of the Batman comics in the 1960s after an approval to modernize the cast, but came back in the late 1970s and regained popularity due to the portrayal of Kim Basinger in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman film.
- Even before the betrayal with Lois and Jimmy, she was already shown to be selfish and narcissistic, as she deprecated White due to the journal she wrote being more of a success in college than his.
- The worst thing about it is that Lois had looked up to Vicki, which made the betrayal hurt even more.
- This is the second incarnation of Vicki Vale to be an antagonist after her incarnation in Batman: The Telltale Series.
- This version of Vale is a little more of a morally grey or even malicious compared to other counterparts of her, acting in a way as an aberrant version of what Lois Lane is originally about to her appearance. She is an act out of everything incorrect about modern journalism: manipulative and narcissistic, biased by particularly picking sources and making up false statements to fit her argument and often seeing everything bad about the people around her. She does this and provokes fearmongering rather than seeking real evidence just to sell more news to further her career.
- Vale is more described as a Caucasian woman with red or blonde hair in other media she appears in, this version makes it the first time she is of East Asian descent.
- This version of Vicky is seemingly inspired off of real life Asian American journalist, Connie Chung.
- Unlike other villains in the show, she just slanders Superman because it would give her credit and further her career. She doesn't seem to actually care about what Kryptonians could do to human life.
- Given her distasteful comments about vigilantes, it is implied that she had met Batman and their relationship was bitter.
- The could be a possibility where she forms a partnership with Task Force X and Lex Luthor (due to her saying she'll stay in touch with him) to take down Superman.
