Father Victor Akintola is the supporting antagonist of the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit two-part episode "Manhattan Transfer" and "Unholiest Alliance".
He was portrayed by Sahr Ngaujah.
Biography[]
Past[]
He was brought into St. Fabiola's Sex Trafficking Ring by his colleague Patrick Mulregan and served as the enforcer. Akintola would kill anyone who stepped out of line or if anyone came close to exposing the ring. He would then dispose of the victims in a way that would not link back to the ring. Akintola would also rape the underage girls the ring was trafficking.
"Manhattan Transfer"[]
After Cara Guiterez, one of the girls, is revealed to be talking with the cops, Mulregan sends Akintola to kill her. He uses his position to get close to her, soon injecting her with a fatal dose of heroin, she suffered an overdose. When the body was discovered, he was interviewed by SVU but lied to the detectives that she may have relapsed.
"Unholiest Alliance"[]
Akintola is later sent by Mulregan to kill Nina Kelly, a nun who is trying to help victims escape the ring. He catches up to Kelly's car as she is trying to help a victim flee and runs her off the road, and he proceeds to rape and murder her. Unknown to him, he is spotted by Natalie Diaz, a victim Kelly was trying to save who promptly reports him.
After realizing the cops might be closing in, Mulregan arranges for Akintola to get out of the country by giving him a ticket and alias. Once the ring is exposed, Akintola tries to escape, but he is held by airport security until SVU Detectives Amanda Rollins and Dominick Carisi Jr. arrived. He tries to say they have the wrong man, and he is a different priest, serving as a Nigerian National. Carisi, a devout Catholic, firmly tells Akintola that nobody believes his story and that he is unfit to be a priest. Rollins and Carisi then take him into custody.
He is then imprisoned for life, along with his fellow conspirators.
