Personality
Victor Zsasz takes deep pleasure in inflicting pain onto others, as well as himself. He is charismatic, highly intelligent, sophisticated, and appreciates the finer things in life. He speaks with a monotone voice and has no real emotion behind his words. He kills without empathy or remorse and appears to take sadistic pleasure in inflicting pain onto his victims. Despite his young age, Victor has killed hundreds of people, as his entire body is covered in scars, suggesting he has either killed early or often. Zsasz is devoid of conscience, fear, or empathy for those around him and he has zero value for human life. As a prolific hitman and serial killer, he has killed people in many different types of ways and has no qualms with who he kills, regardless of age, race, or gender. Overall, Victor is a sadomasochistic sociopath who works as a hitman that takes pride and pleasure in murdering people.
Trivia
- This is the fourth live-action depiction of Victor Zsasz. He had originally made his cinematic debut as a cameo character in the 2005 film Batman Begins. His second depiction was as a recurring antagonist in the television series Gotham, in which he appeared in all five seasons from 2014 to 2019. His third depiction as the secondary antagonist of the 2020 DC Extended Universe film Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).
- Similar to the Gotham Zsasz, this one is portrayed in a comedic manner. However, he is otherwise, as vile as his comic book counterpart because his actions themselves get portrayed seriously by the narrative.
- Similar to his original appearance in the comics, this Zsasz has a shaved head with a red goatee and tally marks all over his body, however, the comics Zsasz only has blonde hair and no goatee.
