Victor, like all psychopaths, has neither conscience nor the capacity for authentic emotion. The only feelings he manifests are brief moments of rage. Other than that, the only thing he appreciated was the torture and murder of innocent people. Victor had no qualms about murdering children, as we saw when he murdered Helena's family, including a child, and was ready to open Cassandra to receive the diamond. |

+ | Zsasz is fond of Roman, likely because the latter shares his enjoyment of violence and torture. However, Zsasz is not above lying to or deceiving Roman in order to make Roman more furious, as when he told Roman that the woman in the cabin was making fun of him because he knew that Roman would make a scene. Zsasz doesn't care about how Roman treats women and even seems to appreciate when Roman forced a girl to be publicly stripped. When everyone was uncomfortable and scared, Zsasz stood there and laughed. This is probably due to the fact that he is a deep sexual sadist who takes pleasure in people's fear and pain. Furthermore, while this version of Zsasz does show some signs of loving Roman, it's likely only because they are equally sadistic, as mentioned before. |

Victor Zsasz is the secondary antagonist of the 2020 DC Extended Universe film Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).
He is the psychopathic right-hand man of the ruthless crime lord Roman Sionis. When Cassandra Cain steals the Bertinelli Diamond from him and Sionis puts a bounty on the girl's head, Zsasz is tasked with retrieving the diamond, even if it means killing Cain, leading him to face Harley Quinn, who has taken Cassandra under her protection.
He was portrayed by Chris Messina.
Biography
The psychopathic Victor Zsasz serves as crime boss Roman Sionis's loyal right-hand man and often tortures and kills people without question on his orders. He tortures and kills a crime boss and his wife and daughter after he turned down a deal to go into a partnership with Sionis and flayed off their faces, which caused them to go into shock and die.
After Harley Quinn splits from Roman's nemesis Joker, Sionis has her kidnapped and brought to his headquarters, and he wants her tortured by Zsasz; however, they spare her when she offers to get a diamond that Sionis wants his hands on, which was stolen from Zsasz by a girl named Cassandra Cain. Although they let her go, Sionis orders Zsasz to text all their criminal contacts and put a bounty on Cassandra to get the diamond.
He was killed by Huntress, who revealed that Zsasz was partially responsible for the deaths of her family.
Personality
The personality of Zsasz is described as psychopathic and sadistic. He takes sexual pleasure in seeing others suffer.
Zsasz is fond of Roman, likely because the latter shares his enjoyment of violence and torture.
In light of that, Zsasz is completely evil and a sexually sadistic pervert without redeeming qualities. He proved he is more than capable of being as vile as his boss, despite working under him.

Trivia
- This is the third live-action depiction of Victor Zsasz. He had originally made his cinematic debut as a minor antagonist in the 2005 film Batman Begins. His second depiction was as a recurring antagonist in the television series Gotham, in which he appeared in all five seasons from 2014 to 2019. Similar to his role in Birds of Prey, these previous two incarnations of Zsasz also served as a hitman loyal to someone in the criminal underworld. Similar to Gotham Zsasz, this one is portrayed in a comedic manner. However, he is otherwise as vile as his comic book counterpart because his actions themselves are seriously portrayed in the narrative.
- Similar to his original appearance in the comics, this Zsasz has short blonde hair, whereas in the comics and media he is now mostly depicted as having a shaven head.
- Although this version enjoys killing, he doesn't seem to be like the nihilist serial killer as depicted in the comics, who had a twisted philosophy that he was relieving his victims of the pointlessness of existence and instead only seemed to kill when given the word by Black Mask. On the other hand, he still inherited his comic book version of sadism. He does, however, retain his scars across his body from killing people, referring to them as "the little birds he helped fly away from the world."
