The Video Vulture is the vulture and film camera-themed creature of the Machine Empire and a very minor villainous character in Power Rangers Zeo.
He is voiced by Dave Mallow who previously voiced Baboo, the Grumble Bee, the Lizzinator, Trumpet Top, the Terror Blossom, the Beamcaster and the Evil Bookala in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the Video Vulture and later voiced the Midas Monster also in Zeo, Mr. Goorific in Power Rangers Turbo, Termitus and Praying Mantis in Power Rangers In Space, Gasser and Magnetox in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, Trifire in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, Commandocon and the Black Knight in Power Rangers Time Force and the Vacuum Cleaner Org and Helicos in Power Rangers Wild Force. Outside of Power Rangers, he is best known as Kaien Shiba in Bleach, Togemon in Digimon Data Squad, Numemon and Vilemon in the Digimon franchise, Oolong in the Harmony Gold dub of Dragon Ball, the Anti-Spiral in Gurren Lagann, Peter Capek in the anime adaptation of Monster, Akuma in Street Fighter IV: The Ties That Bind, Jamitov Hymen in Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, one of the two voices of Borgslayer in Big Bad Beetleborgs and Toxoid, Air Stryker, Fistbot and Irradiator in VR Troopers.

The Video Vulture was manufactured by the Machine Empire, working under King Mondo and Queen Machina. With thier monsters and never-ending army of Cogs, the Machine Empire was able to devastate and conquer entire galaxies although how the Video Vulture helped with that is unknown.
Zeo[]
In 1996, King Mondo leads his Machine Empire to the Moon where they drive out Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa but their invasion is ultimately stalled by the interference of the Zeo Rangers.
Inspired by a monster B-movie dubbed "Invasion Of Blueface", Prince Sprocket decides to shoot his own movie but use it to destroy the Zeo Rangers and render the Earth defenceless. After having some Cogs steal several monster suit from the movie's set, Sprocket sends the Video Vulture to kidnap the Zeo Rangers who he draws out by sending some Cogs to attack the countryside. Although the Cogs are defeated, the Video Vulture is able to kidnap the Rangers and send them to a forcefield shielded room although the plan later fails.
After kidnapping and brainwashing Tommy into thinking that he is the Machine King, Prince Gasket and Archerina take up operations in an arena and lure in Jason so he can be killed by Altor. During the arena scenes, the Video Vulture can be seen filming the fight from the bleachers but the Rangers are able to escape after Tritor destroys the shield generator which renders Gasket's plan a failure.
What happened to the Video Vulture after this is unknown since he is never seen again but is presumed to have been vaporised by Zordon's Energy Wave since there was nothing redeemable about him.
Personality[]
Due to his very limited screen-time, and only speaking once, little is known about the Video Vulture's personality but he is shown to be a jokey trickster; taunting the Rangers before kidnapping them.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Depth Perception: The Video Vulture possesses depth perception despite only having one camera-like eye.
- Flight: The Video Vulture can fly and glide using his wings.
- Kidnapping Beams: The Video Vulture can kidnap people by shooting them with a white energy beam from his single eye, sucking his victims to wherever he wanted.
