The Former Village Chief of Latomi also known as the Idiot Village Head, is the main antagonist of the Japanese Light Novel series, The Weakest Beast Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash. He is the arch-nemesis of the main protagonist, Ivy.
Overview[]
This man is an extremely delusional, paranoid, racist, incompetent and power crazed idiot who believed starless people to be "curses". He and his followers are the ones who exiled Femicia (who later called Ivy) out of the village. He caused the fortuneteller (who was a mother figure to Ivy) to die when he refused to let her drink the medicine, red potion, when she was sick and falsely accused Ivy as a so-called murderer. After Ivy escaped, The Village Head placed a bounty on Ivy, but unfortunately for him, the other villages or cities despised him of his delusions of grandeur.
Sometime later after Ivy escape, the Village of Latomi turned worse such as crops turned to barren, the fruits turned sour/inedible and the villagers (who cannot stand with his delusions any longer) abandoned the Head for his delusions of grandeur. The Head was gotten divorced and abandoned by his wife when she realized of his tyranny while he is abusing her with no reasons and later cheated on her when he has an affair with another woman. His actions (along with Ivy's parents) has caused Ivy's sister Fecilla to also exile from the Latomi Village as well due to her being weak. He also branded those who leaves his village as criminals (which includes his now ex-wife).
Instead of using what's left of money Latomi had to hire another oracle, the Village Head waste all the money to put a bounty on Ivy's head. However, his efforts were easily in vained as the villages and cities neighbored to Latomi, absolutely abhors the Village Head, calling him an idiot for his delusions and his reputation is extremely poor. Nobody would ever wanted to heed the bounty on Ivy for being a little girl as they are very supportive to her and not caring if she is a starless or not because Ivy is just an innocent little girl, leaving the Village Head and Latomi Village to be broke, living in poverty and starve as well drowning in huge debts with no food or money.
He created a new rule that those with weaker stars are considered "inferior" as shown Ivy's older sister, Fecilla (much like her little sister) was also accused when she was bullied by her brother, Feton and abused by her parents, Tablo and Furefe the same way as they did to Ivy, causing Fecilla to completely lost of all her respects for her family and village as well replacing it with complete hatred.
He was soon under arrested by the Latome Village's knights who were notified by Fecilla due to his and Fecilla's family's crimes against the starless and the weaker stars, thus bringing an end to his reign of tyranny for good. Plus, the hunt for the starless and the weaker star that he started is over entirely as justice prevail swifty. He was given a life sentence as a criminal slave when he and his remaining followers were forced to do hard labors in a mine to pay off their debts and makes ends meet as well the Latomi Village became a ghost town.

The Village Head is a mid aged man with a blonde hair (banged his left eye) and green eyes.
Personality[]
The Head is a power-crazed, delusional, glory hogging, racist, greedy, lying, arrogant, cowardly, selfish and shortsighted idiot who believes starless people are "curses" and those who are lower stars are inferior which is nothing more than a lie. He intend to kill them all. He is very abusive towards his village when he yells at them and blamed them for their failures even the terrible condition on the village which was his fault. He has no qualms to falsely accused the starless, the lower stars and those who leave his village as criminals. He had no love for his ex-wife when he abused her both (physically and psychologically) either when he was divorced and abandoned by her after she finally realized his insanity. He also has no tolerance for the weak as well such as Fecilla (Ivy's sister) who has one star when Fecilla too was exiled from her home village after being falsely accused and mistreated by her family and the Head.
Despite once a married man, he is a lustful pervert who has an affair with a mistress while he cares nothing for his wife (when he cheated on her). His infidelity combined his hunting for the starless and weaker stars caused him to be give a life sentence as a slave forever.
Even when he was arrested, he has no remorse on his actions, nor does he have any qualities for redemption.
Trivia[]
- It is implied that Village Head was a high ranking noble, but was stripped from his nobility and was banished by his fellow nobles due to him abusing his status. He was sent Latomi Village to properly learn to become a better leader but instead he became an even worse leader when he abused his status as the Head. If that's the case, the nobles would apologies to the former residents of Latomi village who left/exiled for the idiot Village Head's delusions of grandeur.
- The Head has absolutely no clue how to run a rural village due to his incompetence, causing the village to be urban decay and any who stays with him at the village are even stupid as him (such as both Ivy's parents (Tablo and Furefe) and brother, Feton). He only brought the destruction on the village by his own hands. He always blamed others for his own failures. He also faced justice when the head gotten arrested and sentence to a mine as a slave for life.
- The Head never actually cared about his ex-wife because he was engaged a marriage by his father when his parent hoped he would change for the better but only shown the Head is worse than his father thought. He later cheated on his wife when he had an affair with another woman. Despite his wife didn't do anything wrong, he always abused his wife physically and psychologically and considered her useless to him, as shown she is heavily bandaged and bruised which caused her to finally divorce the Head and abandoned him when she left in a carriage. Soon after, the ex-wife hears the Head was arrested and sentenced to a mine as a slave for life when his crimes were notified to the Latome Village knights by Fecilla. This event has caused the ex-wife to be happy and her life of misery faded after her ex-husband got what he deserves.
