Nominations for articles to be featured on the front page.

Guidelines

• Nominations must be at the very least 350 words long.
• Whichever article has the most votes at the end of the month is featured for a month.
  • Each downvote counts as a point down for the nominee.
  • In case of a tie, the one with fewer downvotes wins.
• Admin votes carry the same weight as regular users' votes.
• All nominations and votes must be signed with four tildes (~~~~). Unsigned nominations and votes will be nullified.
• Nominations and votes CANNOT BE CHANGED. Each user can only vote ONCE, for and against.
• An article cannot be nominated twice in a row (if an article was nominated in the previous voting, it cannot be nominated again in the current one).
• Users cannot nominate articles two months in a row.
• Only six nominations max for every monthly voting are allowed. Any nomination surpassing this limit will be automatically disqualified.
• No cheating. Any user who downvotes candidates just to rig the results will receive a warning and have its downvote nullified.
• Sockpuppet votes are automatically disqualified.
• Once a vote is posted, there is no turning back to edit the description of your vote. If you voted against a candidate for a trivial reason and had your vote discarded by an admin, it will be forbidden to go back and edit the reason of your vote to make your denied vote valid again. Doing so will result in a a warning, NO exceptions.
• There is a limit for how many times a villain can be nominated in a period of time. If a candidate is downvoted but still being brought to VFH more than once in the following months, the limit is 3 attempts. If a villain is downvoted 3 times, the villain cannot be proposed again until 12 months have passed after the last proposal. Bringing the villain back before then is a violation of this rule and the candidate will be erased from the nominations. For this limit to reset, the villain must not be proposed for 12 months after the last proposal.
• In the months of January, April, July and October we run a special "Admin's Choice" VFH, with nominations made by the wiki's mods/admins only. All previous rules apply during these months.

Suggestions

• Be original and creative with the nominations.
• Don't vote against a villain if you haven't read the article about it yet.
• Don't vote against a villain just because you know nothing about him/her/it.
• Don't say anything that may be offensive to another.
• If you're going to vote against, present an actual argument for your reasoning. "He's boring" or "I don't like him" aren't arguments.

Comments	With Toriyama's passing last month its a good time to pay homage by headlining one of his creations. Piccolo is a major villain from classic Dragon Ball and the first serious threat Goku face on his journey. Toriyama has been a source of inspiration for many people who are into art as a whole (including myself) but I'm going to have to vote against King Piccolo here for a few reasons: 1. The nomination is nowhere near 350 words long (neither is the other one but it's not anywhere near this short), 2. The nomination doesn't mention why King Piccolo would fit for May, which is due to 'Piccolo Day' being May 9th and 3. That's not a very solid reason for King Piccolo to be headlined and headlined pages are often ones that are complete or as good as it gets for the wiki and King Piccolo's isn't... Above all else, it just feels a little wrong to use Toriyama's passing like this... (and we've had similar issues with similar nominations in the past) Surely we should celebrate his most celebrated villains in a day like his birthday or the anniversary of his work, any day that commemorates and remembers his life, and not his recent death.

Comments	With the 40th anniversary of Rescue at Midnight Castle and thus the first piece of MLP fiction being roughly around this time, its main antagonist Tirac seemed like an appropriate for VFH. He was the first villain of the franchise and remains one of the most metal 80s cartoon villains to this day, even making his way into the new series roughly 10 years ago in 2014 with a new incarnation (something no other G1 antagonist truly did) and inspiring the first big antagonist of the franchise's fourth generation, as well as being a notable background cameo in the fifth generation alongside the Rainbow of Light (the weapon that existed largely to counter his Rainbow of Darkness) which is now a major player in this new gen.
