Nominations for articles to be featured on the front page.

  • Nominations must be at the very least 350 words long.
  • An article is featured every month, or at the admins' discretion.
  • Whichever article has the most votes at the end of the month is featured for a month.
    • Each downvote counts as a point down for the nominee.
    • In case of a tie, the one with fewer downvotes wins.
  • Admin votes carry the same weight as regular users' votes.
  • All nominations and votes must be signed with four tildes (~~~~). Unsigned nominations and votes will be nullified.
  • Nominations and votes CANNOT BE CHANGED. Each user can only vote ONCE, for and against.
  • An article cannot be nominated twice in a row (if an article was nominated in the previous voting, it cannot be nominated again in the current one).
  • Users cannot nominate articles two months in a row.
  • Only six nominations max for every monthly voting are allowed. Any nomination surpassing this limit will be automatically disqualified.
  • CHEATING WILL NEVER BE TOLERATED. Any user who starts downvoting candidates just to rig the results or go asking other users to vote on his candidate will receive a warning and, in case of reincidence, a one month ban. No exceptions.
  • The use of sockpuppets in VFH is extremely forbidden, resulting in the permanent ban of the sockpuppet's account(s) and in the deletion of your nominated villain.
  • Once the vote was posted, there is no turning back to edit the description of your vote. If you voted against a candidate for a trivial reason and had your vote discarded by an admin, it will be forbidden to go back and edit the reason of your vote to make your denied vote valid again. Doing so will result in a week ban, NO exceptions.
  • There is a limit for how many times a villain can be nominated in a period of time. If a candidate is downvoted but still being brought to VFH more than once in the following months, the limit is 3 attempts. If a villain is downvoted 3 times, the villain can not be proposed again until 12 months has passed after the last proposal. Bringing the villain back before then is a violation of this rule and the candidate will be erased from the nominations. For this limit to reset, the villain must not be proposed for 12 months after the last proposal.

  • Be original and creative with the nominations.
  • Don't vote against a villain if you haven't read the article about it yet.
  • Don't vote against a villain just because you know nothing about him/her/it.
  • Don't say anything that may be offensive to another.
  • If you're going to vote against, present an actual argument for your reasoning. "He's boring" or "I don't like him" aren't arguments.

The correct nomination format is as follows:

  • (if anyone votes against:) against reasons for against

  • I'm surprised we haven’t had a Pokémon villain headlined yet so to celebrate the new year I thought we would have a new franchise headlined get it. And with Pokemon Sword and Shield being released and the remake of the first movie coming out this year and are sister wiki headlining Ash I thought I would nominate the original Pokemon Movie Villain. Also he is extremely iconic so that always helps. and lastly we have had 3 pure evil villains in a row so I would be nice to have a more sympathetic villain
  • How such a iconic franchise never got it's time to shine being a VFH escapes me. Mewtwo perfectly reps his series too, as a very iconic villain from it.
  • Mewtwo was cool... up until had that lame “Steven Universe”-esquire redemption. Plus he didn’t really leave much of an impact on the Pokémon series. He erased the events of the first movie from everyone’s heads.
  • Mewtwo is only iconic in terms of playability in various games and in merchandise. But as an actual character, Mewtwo never struck me as a defining Pokemon villain. It's more so a rogue Pokemon that seems to get its origin retconned over and over. Now if you went for someone like Giovanni, Ghetsis or even Guzma, you might have convinced me otherwise.
  • Firstly do we even need to have a Pokemon villain headlined? If so, i wouldnt recommend having a literal Pokemon headlined. They fail the level of evilness in my opinion. I think having Team Rocket or Lusamine would make much more sense to get headlined, instead of a Pokemon which is pretty much a captuarable character, which in the end gets "Controlled" by the capturer. Plus i think Pokemon as a hole is a pretty childish cartoon just like My Little Pony, i dont think they really should get headlined because they're already too famous, and too childish...
  • A villain being from a children's franchise is not a valid reason to vote against it. Children's villains can be headlined just as much as adult's villains.
  • Of course. But it's not the only reason why i down voted.

  • Letho is a likable and fleshed-out character and an interesting villain. Plus, the Witcher Netflix series is coming out this month.

  • Evolt is a kickass villain. He's got a cool design, a cool voice and a fun but menacing personality. Tetsuo Kanao did an excellent job voicing him. Not to mention that this year marks Heisei Era Kamen Rider's 20th Anniversary and the beginning of the new Reiwa Era of Kamen Rider, so it would be fitting to have a Kamen Rider personality.
  • Even though I didn't watched the series but, after reading about Evolt, and I decided to choose him for headline!

  • Now here's something unexpected. The New Year is coming around soon enough, and as far as I know, we've have never had a villainous organization for a headlined article before. So why not usher in the New Year by not just headlining an organization for the first time, but headlining arguably the most well-known and culturally influential evil organization in all of fictional history?

Cozy Glow

  • Downvoting mainly for two reasons. Lesser reason is because I just don't care for MLP, and hence, I'm just not interested in the prospect of her being VFH. The better and main reason is that Cozy Glow is reportedly unpopular in the MLP fanbase, so why headline a disliked villain?
  • I have followed this franchise since G1 days (not a "brony" btw, it predates that craze and indeed internet, that is only really for FiM take), there's many who are a better choice such as Tirac / Tirek, Cozy doesn't stand out enough in comparison, I'd argue Tirek especially is one of the few MLP villains people of all fandoms know about and somewhat respect for what he is.. you are free to like what you will but for a VFH they should have some widespread appeal and unfortunately Cozy certainly doesn't have that.

  • With fighting games on the spotlight once again, and SNK returning to its rightful place as one of the big names in the genre it's time to highlight one of it's most iconic bosses, from it's biggest franchise.
