Nominations must be at the very least 350 words long.
An article is featured every month, or at the admins' discretion.
Whichever article has the most votes at the end of the month is featured for a month.
Each downvote counts as a point down for the nominee.
In case of a tie, the one with fewer downvotes wins.
Admin votes carry the same weight as regular users' votes.
All nominations and votes must be signed with four tildes (~~~~). Unsigned nominations and votes will be nullified.
Nominations and votes CANNOT BE CHANGED. Each user can only vote ONCE, for and against.
An article cannot be nominated twice in a row (if an article was nominated in the previous voting, it cannot be nominated again in the current one).
Users cannot nominate articles two months in a row.
Only six nominations max for every monthly voting are allowed. Any nomination surpassing this limit will be automatically disqualified.
CHEATING WILL NEVER BE TOLERATED. Any user who starts downvoting candidates just to rig the results or go asking other users to vote on his candidate will receive a warning and, in case of reincidence, a one month ban. No exceptions.
The use of sockpuppets in VFH is extremely forbidden, resulting in the permanent ban of the sockpuppet's account(s) and in the deletion of your nominated villain.
Once the vote was posted, there is no turning back to edit the description of your vote. If you voted against a candidate for a trivial reason and had your vote discarded by an admin, it will be forbidden to go back and edit the reason of your vote to make your denied vote valid again. Doing so will result in a week ban, NO exceptions.
There is a limit for how many times a villain can be nominated in a period of time. If a candidate is downvoted but still being brought to VFH more than once in the following months, the limit is 3 attempts. If a villain is downvoted 3 times, the villain can not be proposed again until 12 months has passed after the last proposal. Bringing the villain back before then is a violation of this rule and the candidate will be erased from the nominations. For this limit to reset, the villain must not be proposed for 12 months after the last proposal.
Suggestions
Be original and creative with the nominations.
Don't vote against a villain if you haven't read the article about it yet.
Don't vote against a villain just because you know nothing about him/her/it.
Don't say anything that may be offensive to another.
If you're going to vote against, present an actual argument for your reasoning. "He's boring" or "I don't like him" aren't arguments.

Danganronpa has its tenth anniversary later this year, and for that, combined with having this entry being a sort of jab at the rough state the world is in as of late and the fact we only have one visual novel rep headlined, let's have the most iconic and despicable antagonist from the series as a VFH.
Not only is she the most interesting candidate for the month to me, but I'm helping out a friend which is a nice bonus.

From a mysterious, enigmatic villain to a man with an intriguing arc to him, Sephiroth has now gone ahead and literally change the story once more upon the release of the remake by manipulating the very core events. Where his story goes on from here remains to be seen once more, but it is clear that he has an important role to fulfill in this newly set timeline, that is to defy his fate all together.
Well first of all he's Hades, a humourous badass god loved by many. I have other reasons to. 1. Hercules was recently confirmed to have a live action remake (while i don't like it but still). 2. We should give respect for James Woods since he has loved and voiced the character all the time for 23 years. 3. He should've genuinely been headlined for a long time (in my opinion since hes pretty underrated).
Usually characters poorly adapted from sources get a bad rap. Hades is definitely a poor adaptation of the original Greek god... but no one cares. You can thank James Woods for breathing life into this brilliantly designed, excellently portrayed and charismatic antagonist. You could think of many voices for Hades, but James Woods will always come to mind. You can think of many designs for Hades, but you'll always think of this look, because it's so unique. Despite coming from the dark age of the Disney Renaissance, he's still one of the most beloved Disney Villains, some even considering him to be the best one.
I think since we just headlined a villain both underrated and from Disney, the other candidates should be given some leeway.
Not gonna commentate on Jet's reply since I have to admit I agree with him and I can't find anything to point it out but what matters the most is that villains shouldn't just be remembered because they're PE, they should also be remembered because they're entertaining and humorous as hell.
Don't get me wrong, I love Hades, but not only do we already have a good group of Disney VFHs, this is just after Victor Krane, who's also from Disney (I get one's animated and one is live-action, but still). No hard feelings, but must agree with Jet here on his reasons and downvote him.
I should point out that I also think Hades is hilarious and that James Woods is a fantastic actor.
Since we've just had a Disney villain headlined I feel as though having Hades headlined too is really pushing it, not only that but even from Disney's animated line up we've already had quite a few headlined and I just feel that this month has brought a lot more in terms of varied and interesting choices, I'd be happy for Hades to have his day but right now I just think that there's more unique and underrated choices that deserve a shot this month.
I agree that it would be repetitive to have two Disney villains headlined in a row.
I don't like the idea of having a Disney villain headlined immediately after another one already was. I like Disney movies (usually), so there is no bias here and I'd be this way even if it was Nintendo or Marvel or anything else.
He's my favourite Disney villain and he's hilarious.
Hades is undeniably a pretty good pseudo-comic relief character whose villainy was of pretty good quality. However, I feel it's unnecessary to headline him immediately after another Disney-branded character, and have three villains of the same ownership in one year.
One of the few characters to be both the hero and the villain, die and still win. I'm dual proposing McGillis on Heroes Wiki if you want to vote for him on there as well.
McGills also spawned a few memes in the Gundam fandon, such as the 'But, muh Bael!'.
Alright, my vote for McGillis is sealed. I mean, yes, he's a tragic character but he truly has a potential to be a great Ensemble Darkhorse. Imagine Char and Lelouch's holy lovechild? I think that would be nice to see if he got headlinee in both VW and HW. Although I will admit that other candidates were tempting such as Junko and Napoleon, I ended up voting on McGillis instead due to my interest with underdog characters and all.
I think it's better a straight-up villain to be headlined rather than a dual character like McGillis.

We all love George Orwell, and we all love to hate Napoleon, perhaps his second greatest villain, sidelined only by or perhaps even on par with Big Brother. Animal Farm's 75th anniversary is coming up this August so I figured this would be appropriate. Additionally, August is the month Orwell's birth country, India, became independent.
Can't vote yes and I won't vote no, but I would in my opinion recommend October since it's Animal Day, but still go ahead.
Amazing choice, Animal Farm is an amazing book and it deserves some respect.
Thinking about it, I would've chosen this if I didnt make Hades since im really interested reading Animal Farm and the villain looks cool thanks to Pink Floyd's album Animals (recommend that album a lot, I think its their best in my opinion), just wanted to say.
I may have proposed someone else, but as an avid fan of George Orwell's works I would like to give Napoleon my blessing.
While I proposed Junko and still stand by her as my first choice (And Sephiroth my second), Napoleon definitely earned his spot among the VFH lineup. Animal Farm is a great book, and Napoleon a great villain. Although merely a bronze medal on my wants for this month, all three are characters who I think are excellent choices.
Although considered by many to be the ultimate embodiment of cruelty, madness and destruction, Thanos was actually a more complicated and tortured soul. Thanos is a really interesting in all his aspects. He certainely deserves recognition.
I would say its unnecessary since his Comic Book version was already headlined.
We already have his original version headlined.
Thanos already had been a headline of the month. We don't need another verison of the Mad Titian.
