Markus Sebastian "Mark" Grayson, also known Invincible or "Viltrum Mark" is a minor antagonist in Invincible.

In his dimension, Viltrum Mark, became totally devoted to the viltrum Empire, even to the point where he wore their uniform, and in his universe, he was powerful enough to slay Spawn, one of the most powerful heroes in reality.

He, alongside the other 8 Alternate Mark Graysons remaining, were betrayed by Angstrom and left stranded in a wasteland dimension, where only two of them would survive, he was not one of them.

Biography[]

Background[]

Mark was born with viltrumite powers, and exclusively trained by Nolan, going through hordes of training, and became ready enough to help the empire.

During a series of unseen events, he began to rule the planet, destroying the GDA, Guardians, and more heroes. Spawn (perhaps as earth's last resort), tried to stop Mark, but he somehow killed Spawn.

Viltrum Mark was recruited by the mainstream Angstrom Levy to ruin the reputation of the Mark Grayson of his dimension and, in exchange, Levy would help Mohawk Mark expand his Empire across all dimensions. Naturally, he accepted the offer and was among the wave of 16 Alternate Mark Graysons that stormed the mainstream Image Comics universe.

On the second day, Viltrum Mark came across another Spawn, and claimed that he killed in his reality and will do the same in the mainstream universe, however Spawn lived.

During the final day, Viltrum Mark was seen in shame, hovering in his old home town, Chicago which was destroyed. Levy calls for a regroup over the Grayson's home. Once there, Viltrum Mark notices that he was nowhere around, only for Levy to show up through a portal seconds later saying that he prefers to make dramatic entrances. Levy asks the Marks for one last favor: to bring the Mark Grayson of this world and let him disfigure him as retribution. Instead Sinister rebukes saying they must move on or they'll kill him. Angstrom, disappointed at how they could see through his plan, pushes the remaining Marks into portals to a Wasteland dimension, leaving them to fend for themselves.

Final Fate[]

During their time on the Wasteland Dimension, the Marks would talk about what turned them evil. Mohawk Mark came to the realization that it must be in their nature to be evil, and that it only must take one bad event to "open their eyes" to that nature.

As the days became months, the Marks started to get hungrier and hungrier. Until one day, a particularly Sinister version of them suggested to resort to cannibalism to keep themselves alive. Mohawk Mark helped Sinister Mark eat the first guy, as he claimed he hated him so much that it was impossible not to want to kill him. He even didn't want to eat him because of how much he hated him. This cycle of eating the weakest and most annoying Mark kept going until they were reduced to just two Marks: Sinister Mark and him.
