Biography[]
Overview[]
Not much is known of Keeler, other than the fact that he had at least one sibling, and is close to his niece.
"Tonight's the Night"[]
During a blackout, Keeler goes to Firehouse 51 for shelter. While there, he was told the cause of the blackout was because a drunk driver struck a girl and a telephone pole. Keeler was upset because the girl was his niece and the brother of the drunk driver was in the house with him. Although the brother had nothing to do with the accident, Keeler took his frustrations out on him and viciously beat the man until he was stopped by the firefighters. Lieutenant Kelly Severide personally threw him out of the house because he was too dangerous. Humiliated, Keeler turned his anger on Severide and with the help of his gang, he kidnapped the latter's half-sister Katie Nolan while she was on the street.
"Virgin Skin"[]
Severide beat the answers out of one of Keeler's men to locate his missing sister. Severide then located Katie, who revealed details of her abduction and implicated Keeler while implying he raped her. Keeler was arrested, with this being witnessed by Severide though was released because of an unknown connection.
"Keep Your Mouth Shut"[]
Following his release, Keeler and his gang started to harass the firehouse by driving in front of it and telling the firefighters of an emergency. Severide was still angry that Keeler abducted his sister and tried to confront him but was held back by his team and dared Keeler to come out and face him but the latter instead fled, satisfied he got at his foe. Benny Severide, Kelly and Katie's father was also notified and became distraught to hear what happen to his daughter and that Keeler got off scot-free. Unable to stand Keeler being released, Severide gathered some of his fellows to get revenge and many of them agreed to help because of Keeler's actions. However, they were visited by Det. Erin Lindsay who revealed to them that Keeler went missing from his personal gym and the only things left were his abandoned car and his cellphone that was dumped in a sewer drain.
"A Rocket Blasting Off"[]
Keeler's disappearance caused Firehouse 51 to be looked into by the police, as they all had a motive: Keeler kidnapping Severide's sister and seemingly getting away with it. However, they were all cleared when they wished they had done so. It is later revealed that Benny Severide, Kelly and Katie's father was really responsible for it after he hinted to his son about it. Benny later showed up at the 21st police district to speak to Sergeant Hank Voight but because he was not in, he left his number with Trudy Platt and told her to have Voight contact him. At a bar, Benny met and apparently made a confession to Voight about his involvement with Keeler's disappearance and prepared to turn himself in for his crime. Instead, Voight understood his grief as a father himself and let him go back home and told him to stay away from Chicago until the heat died down about Keeler. Severide also told Otis that they won't have to worry about Keeler because he is gone, confirming he knows what his father did.
