~ Vince to Ghostface. |
Vincent "Vince" Schneider is a minor antagonist in the 2022 film Scream. He is the son of Leslie Macher and nephew of Stu Macher, one of the original Ghostface killers.
He used to be Tara Carpenter and Liv McKenzie's colleague, eventually forming a romantic relationship with Liv, which ended by the end of the summer. A couple of months later, he returned to Woodsboro to try and win Liv back and was immediately suspected as being one of the killers.
He was portrayed by Kyle Gallner.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
He was born to Leslie Macher, the older sister of Stu Macher, one of the original Ghostface killers from 1996.
Years later, Vince got a job working with Tara Carpenter and Liv McKenzie, and he eventually became Liv's boyfriend. However, their relationship only lasted for the Summer and Liv ended things, with Vince leaving Woodsboro.
Scream (2022)[]
When the Ghostface killings start again, Vince returned to Woodsboro, much to the suspicion of Liv and her friends. Liv reveals that Vince had previously been stalking her Instagram and leaving creepy comments for her.
That night, Liv and her friends were hanging out in a bar and Vince approached her and tried to get her to grab a drink with him, leading to him and Chad Meeks-Martin, Liv's current boyfriend, getting into a physical altercation which gets them all kicked out of the bar.
As Vince relieves himself on the side of the bar, partially due to spite, Ghostface turns on his car and revs the engine and plays "Red Right Hand" through the radio to lure Vince in. As Vince leans into his car and turns off the engine, Ghostface appears behind him and then stabs him in the neck.
Vince crawls away but then falls to the ground, succumbing to his wounds.
Personality[]
He is shown to an argumentative and hostile individual, as evidenced by his tendency to demand Liv's attention in aggressive means and carrying out a knife everywhere. He often disguises his insecurities with overconfidence, willing to take on people who're just as strong as him (if not moreso) such as Chad and Ghostface in order to prove his point. While not as dimwitted as his uncle, his first argument is always his knife, rarely considering his acts beyond the bare minimum required for his short-term goals.
Quotes[]
