Vincent Shyer is the main antagonist of the Criminal Minds episode "Broken Mirror".

He was portrayed by Matt Letscher, who also played Harrison Love in The Mask of Zorro, Billy Chambers in Scandal and Eobard Thawne in the Arrowverse.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Shyer is an FBI agent in New Haven, Connecticut who is part of District Attorney Evan Davenport's security detail; Davenport was a friend of Shyer's father. Unbeknownst to Davenport, Shyer is obsessed with his twin daughters, Patricia and Cheryl, believing that they are both as in love with him as he is with them. When Patricia and her boyfriend Jordan get engaged, Shyer believes she is "cheating" on him, and decides to abduct her and Cheryl so all three of them can be together.
"Broken Mirror"[]
One night, Shyer follows Patricia and Jordan home from a party, shoots Jordan in the face, and kidnaps Patricia. He forces her to write a ransom note, which is sent to her father, who alerts the police and the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU). Shyer takes charge of the investigation, helping the other agents set up surveillance equipment, which he has secretly bugged. Shyer slips away and makes a ransom call, disguising his voice, demanding that Cheryl drop off the money. BAU Agents Derek Morgan and Spencer Reid realize just in time that the suspect is using the ransom as a ruse to kidnap Cheryl as well, and chase a disguised Shyer away.
Returning to his hideout, Shyer calls the Davenport residence and reveals his obsession with Cheryl and Patricia before hanging up. When he calls again, Supervisory Special Agent Jason Gideon repeatedly hangs up on him to make him angry enough to make a mistake. Sure enough, Shyer flies into a rage and reveals that he knows about profiling and is familiar with the BAU agents' backgrounds, revealing that he probably works in the FBI as well. Morgan and Shyer take Cheryl to a safe house; once there, Shyer knocks Morgan out with a taser and brandishes a knife at her while he rants about how much he loves her. At that moment, however, BAU Agent Elle Greenaway catches him and tries to arrest him. He attacks Greenaway, who subdues and disarms him and demands to know where Patricia. Terrified, Shyer complies, and the BAU rescues Patricia and takes Shyer into custody.
