Violet is a minor antagonist in the Netflix animated series Blue Eye Samurai. He was a wealthy and powerful British drug dealer and smuggler. He was among the only four white men allowed into Japan by Shogun Ito. He was killed without putting up much of a fight by Mizu, who sought the death of all four white men in Japan at the time of her birth.
Personality[]
Being a drug dealer, Violet was most likely ruthless and somewhat intelligent to have persuaded Shogun Ito to allow him into Japan. However, he was not cautious and was not ready for an assassination, making his murder easy. He seemed far more flappable than some of his colleague and seemed terrified when his assassination came.
Biography[]
Violet was a powerful drug dealer in Britain and eventually approached the shogun of Japan along with Abijah Fowler, Skeffington, and Routley. They asked to be allowed to sell their wares in Japan, and he agreed, on the condition that they would stay in towers scattered around the country and reveal their presence to no one. He also demanded that they give him some of their wares annually.
Some decades later, Violet's tower was infiltrated, and he was killed by a mysterious assassin.
Trivia[]
- Violet's brief appearance suggest that he looks exactly like Mizu, seemingly implying that he is her father. However, this may have just been her perception of him.
