Virginia Malkin, better known as just Ms. Malkin is the main antagonist of Netflix animations 14th feature film Leo.
In her characterization, she is a substitute teacher at Fort Myers Elementary School who replaces Mrs. Salina and is hated by her class because of her reputation.
She was voiced by Cecily Strong, who also voiced Marge Malone in The Garfield Movie.
Appearance[]
Ms. Malkin is an overweight elderly woman with cyan eyes, silver colored shoulder length hair with yellow bows and glasses. She wears a gray sleeveless shirt with a brown cardigan brown legging and brown small heels. Sometimes she wears a yellow sleeveless shirt.
Biography[]
Virginia Malkin is a substitute teacher with a strict reputation as noted by some of the parents when Principal Spahn announces that Mrs. Salina is going on maternity leave. She is first seen after Mrs. Salina leaves and she immediately enforces her strict rules on the class.
Dr. Jay Wengler and his wife later meet with Principal Spahn and Ms. Malkin about what the latter has been doing. Dr. Wengler reminds Principal Spahn that he donated the lightswitch and to help work out a plan so that Ms. Malkin can give his daughter Jayda more time to complete her school work. They come up with the cover-up that Jayda is currently suffering from jet-lag so that Ms. Malkin can allow her to finish an assignment.
After his popularity in the class, Ms. Malkin takes Leo home when she discovers he talks and has been helping her students. Leo learns that she never accomplished her dream of being a real teacher and attempts to give her advice.
The next day, when the students won the history fair; their prize is a field trip to Magic Land Park. Wanting to take all the credit, Ms. Malkin abandons Leo at The Everglades. When the students decide to apologize to Leo, they discover he is missing; Ms. Malkin lies by telling the class that Leo left them.
During the trip there she confesses and apologizes to the students. After tricking the coach they head out to find Leo at the Everglades. After finding him, she forgives him and gains the position of a full time teacher at Fort Myers Elementary while taking Leo and Squirtle as the class pets. Though Principal Spahn has assigned Ms. Malkin to the kindergartners.
