Biography[]
Lord Volcazar is informed that the barbarians are gathered together by his general. Laughing, the tyrant says the time has come to attack. Bringing his army to the village of barbarians, he orders the attack. The village is catapulted, razed and the villagers captured. Gundar, the oldest barbarian, challenges Volcazar after defeating part of his army. He strikes the sword on his armor but it shatters without even injuring the evil overlord. Volcazar laughs at it and fatally strikes Gundar with his sledgehammer. Putting his foot on his chest, Volcazar tells him that everyone bow before him before stabbing him in the heart with their sword. After that, Volcazar coldly orders his army to take the prisoners away.
Arrived at his castle, Volcazar calls his sorcerer Gu'ra Zul and tells him that all of Kron's sons are captured. The wizard tries to summon the demon Zaal but fails. The reason is that a member of the tribe is missing, the barbarian Ronal. Volcazar is furious as he needs the blood of every barbarian to complete the ritual. He takes his second in command, strangling him, and orders him to bring back the missing person.
Volcazar is next seen throwing a skull at a barbarian with a golf club, while aiming at him. Gura'zul reminds him that a son of Kron is missing and must be found before the next moon. He receives a call from his right arm and learns, to his fury, that the missing barbarian has escaped and that he is being protected by a very powerful warrior. Striking his wizard with his staff, he orders his mate to bring them both back.
The super-powerful warrior turns out to be Zandra, an exiled Valkyrie. She is captured and brought to Volcazar. He leans in and sniffs her but she hits him with her head. Volcazar decides to kill her but she frees herself from the grip of her men and fights it. At one point, Volcazar's spear gets caught in a pillar of his fortress and Zandra takes the opportunity to strike it with an ax but it shatters upon contact with Volcazar's black armor. Volcazar laughs and hits Zandra with his fist. Putting his foot on the Valkyrie's stomach, he seems to be about to finish her off but plants his spear right next to her. He reveals that he knows the laws of the Valkyrie and makes Zandra his maid.
Zandra leads him to Ronal who is captured right after he collects Kron's Sword, the only weapon capable of defeating Volcazar. Ronal is captured and brought to the realm of Volcazar. The latter, who has captured all the barbarians, reveals his plan. He plans to donate the blood of the sons of Kron as a sacrifice to the demon Zaal and in return, he will obtain his power and go to conquer the world. He goes up in his temple with the prisoners. He reveals to Zandra that she will be his queen in his new kingdom. He goes on his altar, preparing to drink the blood of the barbarians. However, Ronal is freed by Alibert, an apprentice bard who has joined his quest, and frees all the prisoners by accident. Seeing the prisoners rebel and gain the upper hand over his army, Volcazar brutally orders Zandra to kill the barbarians, hitting her when she protests. The megalomaniac tyrant then hurries to drink the blood. Immediately after, he begins to levitate and merges with Zaal. Turning him into a powerful gigantic demon.
With the weapons thrown at him not injuring him. As all seems lost, Alibert notices an object on Volcazar's forehead and remembers a song in which the Zaal's weakest point was said to be the forehead. Ronal decides to put an end to Volcazar, climbs on one of the overlord's wyverns and tries to reach his forehead. Ronal jumps from the mount but is stunned by the fall on Volcazar. Kron's sword falls but is grabbed by Zandra. Volcazar rejoices and orders her to kill Ronal. Realizing that Ronal really loves her contrary to Volcazar, she refuses and revolts against the monster. Faced with this affront, Volcazar decides to kill her. However, the barbarians rush on Volcazar and hold him back, weakening him a bit. Ronal takes the opportunity to go up to Volcazar, opens the portal on his forehead and sticks Kron's sword inside. Nothing happens for a moment and Volcazar is amused, but explodes immediately after, ending the threat posed by him forever.
Personality[]
Volcazar is a ruthless and cruel man. His cruelty even extends to his henchmen, who he abuses when they fail in a task he assigns them. He is abusive also to his servant Zandra, hitting her when she doubts his orders. He is definitely power-hungry and dreams to conquer the world and rule it forever with the power of Zaal and is shown to stop at nothing to obtain it. He is also sadistic and petty, laughing at his enemies when they are beaten and throwing a raspberry to a barbarian who tried to wound him with an axe even when it is too small to do so because he is transformed into Zaal.
Volcazar has a hammy side and tends to act in an over-the-top manner when he is excited or angry.
