Voltbot is one of the antagonists in the SteamWorld series. He is the main antagonist and the final boss of SteamWorld Dig: A Fist Full of Dirt.
History[]
SteamWorld Dig: A Fistful of Dirt[]
For most of the game, Voltbot is never seen or mentioned until the very end, where he appears as the final boss. Voltbot's main goal was to get the heart of a powerful being so he can rule the world. Rusty's uncle, simply named Uncle Joe, did not have a powerful heart, so he gave his life to Voltbot and assimilated with him.
When they meet, Voltbot tried to convince Rusty to become one with him and rule the world together, but Rusty refused, causing the robot to try and take his heart by force. However, Rusty managed to attack the hegemonic machine until it broke down, and then exploded.
SteamWorld Dig 2[]
While Voltbot was never seen, he has been mentioned by Dorothy McCrank as a monster that was defeated by Rusty. While Vectron is still accessable, Voltbot's peaces could still be around.
Powers and Abilities[]
Voltbot can both summon Voltbots and fire a larger laser beam from its eye. He is also able to surrond himself with a barrier of electricity to protect himself from attacks.
Trivia[]
- Some fans believe that Voltbot is the same entity as Vectron from SteamWorld Heist, as they are both Vectron robots and final bosses.
