Colonel Von Helsing is a minor antagonist in the six-episode OVA Mobile Suit Gundam: War in the Pocket. He is a Zeon officer who speaks with a Germanic accent and serves as the captain of the cruiser Graf Zeppelin.
History[]
Von Helsing and his fleet were the ones tasked with carrying out the nuclear bombardment on Side 6. After murdering his superior officer Rugens to prevent him from stopping the attack, Colonel Killing told Von Helsing to proceed with the bombardment. Despite his initial objections, Von Helsing decided to follow through.
The attack was scheduled to be at 12:00 am on Christmas Day. However, a few hours before Von Helsing was told to drop the nukes, his forces were intercepted and captured by a Federation fleet, foiling the nuclear launch.
