Vorr, also known as Vorr the Insane, is the main antagonist from Heroes Chronicles: The World Tree and Heroes Chronicles: The Fiery Moon. He was one of the Ancestors, the gods of the barbarians, and later turned into an evil, corrupted war god whose goal was to destroy the world.
Biography[]
Vorr was one of the Ancestors, who were very old, gods of the barbarians. He was originally nameless, like the other gods who decided the fate of the barbarians' souls. However, the fate of a Barbarian tyrant, Tarnum, greatly influenced his further future. Although the barbarian fought for a legitimate and righteous cause, he became an arrogant and bloodthirsty tyrant who killed countless innocents and devastated many territories. After Rion Gryphonheart defeated and killed him in a duel, Tarnum's body disappeared after the fight and was then teleported to the Hall of Judgement, where the Ancestors decided his fate together. The tyrant was deemed unworthy to enter Paradise, so they made him immortal and sent him back to the world of Enroth to atone for his sins and find redemption through heroic deeds. A very aggressive tribe and their leader, King Targor, sympathized with Tarnum's former deeds and atrocities and wanted to follow a similar path, and they also began to honor an ancient barbarian king, Vorr, as their god of war and offered sacrifices to the Ancestors so that their god would respond. One of the Ancestors accepted the sacrifices, which in turn corrupted him and thus he became Vorr the Insane.
Vorr alone was strong enough to defeat the other Ancestors, whom he kidnapped and took to a volcanic, desolate area known only as the Fiery Moon. Here he imprisoned them, where they were guarded by an efreet, Xyron, who was also Tarnum's old enemy. Afterwards, Vorr formed an alliance with the necromancers, with whom he intended to destroy the World Tree, which would have ended all life in Enroth and destroyed the entire world. However, the Ancestors managed to warn Tarnum with one last desperate scream to save the World Tree, and the immortal hero set off with his army. However, Vorr probably expected them, because the necromancers were partially prepared for the attack, and they were also attacked by Targor's smaller forces. The goal was to wreak havoc on the roots of the World Tree and, like a parasite, destroy it from the inside, but Tarnum successfully fought the necromancers. However, the deeper they went, the more difficult it was to secure supplies and reinforcements, and on one occasion Vorr caused serious losses. He single-handedly attacked an army of five hundred enthusiastic warriors and killed all but one survivor. The survivor made it to Tarnum, but after telling the barbarian leader what had happened, he too died. He believed that Vorr was too strong, so it was necessary to somehow weaken him, which is why his goal was to convince King Targor to no longer deify the possessed Ancestor and to side with the barbarians. After Targor was finally defeated, Tarnum told him everything and showed him his entire past with an artifact, the Pendant of Total Recall which was enough proof for the king to change and admit that he was wrong. Targor and some of his followers went to Vorr to tell the others they no longer worshiped him, while the others and his tribe joined the barbarians. It is likely that the evil Ancestor did not accept his refusal, as he killed and mutilated them all. Tarnum only later found their remains in front of an Subterranean Gate. After that, the corrupted ancestor took a surprising step, because he left the necromancers alone, who continued the destruction, but he believed that they would not succeed, so he wanted to find another way to destroy the world. Tarnum defeated the necromancers, but he knew that until he stopped Vorr and found out what happened to the Ancestors, he would not complete his mission.
Vorr then decided to launch his campaign against the world with the armies of demons living on the Fire Moon. Tarnum and the barbarians fought the demons relatively quickly and it became increasingly clear that they were Vorr's allies and that their armies were following the orders of the insane ancestor. However, the barbarians captured a Familiar, Skizzik, who told them many things. He also said that the prison was on the Fiery Moon, which could only be reached via the Sparkling Bridge, which required an artifact, Ring of the Wayfarer. Vorr quickly recognized the danger, but did not intervene personally, instead making alliances with many elementals that aided him and the demons. The artifact was obtained and a large army guarded it separately, but Tarnum and the barbarians defeated them and managed to reach the Fiery Moon. Here, the immortal hero wanted to find Xyron, who was guarding the prison and the Ancestors, and an efreet, Octavia, was also among the prisoners. Then, on the other hand, the mad ancestor decides to speed up part of his plans. Together, Vorr and Xyron began to torture the Ancestors with their magical powers, it is not clear whether Octavia was also tortured, but the torture of the Ancestors greatly affected Tarnum's condition as well. As the Ancestors dying, he grew grayer and older, his physical condition became much worse and began to weaken. However, Vorr did not stay there in the prison, but went to the main areas of the demons, and Xyron continued to guard the Ancestros. Tarnum, on the other hand, despite his very bad condition, defeated the efreet again and freed the Ancestors, then went after Vorr. The insane ancestor, on the other hand had enough and decided to destroy his enemies personally. He alone attacked the main army of the barbarians and demonstrated his awesome power here. Chain lightning and fireballs rained down on the barbarians from almost every direction, and they were burned and scorched, and those who could fled. He failed to kill Tarnum, but many of his companions did, and most of the barbarian army was completely destroyed. He then went to prepare the demon armies for a campaign against the world. However, his enemy did not break and did not give up, but with the help of Skizzik he found a green valley, where he sided with the barbarian rebels fighting against the demons.

Tarnum faces off against Vorr.
Vorr was increasingly convinced that his enemy had a chance against him, so he attacked him one night in his dream and wanted to make him his side. He tried to convince the barbarian leader how much stronger and more powerful he used to be and he could give it to him again, but he persisted and was determined to kill the mad ancestor. However, he then told him that if he died, it was all over, and then Tarnum woke up. The Ancestors told him that what his enemy said was true, because if Vorr died then they too would not be able to exist and would perish, and without the Ancestors, Tarnum would also perish. It was also said that if Vorr drinks from the sap of the World Tree, then the damage will be completely removed from him and he can get back on the right path, Tarnum was initially reluctant about the idea, but he thought it was time for him to overcome his past once and for all. After defeating the elementals allied with the demons and Vorr, he launched the final assault on the demon territories, where he fought against Vorr.

The final battle between Tarnum and Vorr the Insane.
Here, in the final, cruel fight, Tarnum seriously wounded the insane ancestors, but did not kill him, but instead drank his dying opponent with the sap of the World Tree. Then Vorr's corruption passed, and he realized what he had done and wept, and after that he returned to the Ancestors, with which he and Tarnum found redemption. It is not known whether the Ancestors punished him for his actions, but he did not turn to the wrong path again.
Personality[]
Little is known about Vorr's original personality, but it is certain that he was not negative or evil person. However, after being corrupted by Targor and his tribe's sacrifices, the influence of the proud barbarian warrior and the legacy of Tarnum, he changed completely. Vorr became an extremely aggressive, merciless, brusque, bloodthirsty, cruel killing machine whose sole purpose was to destroy the world of Enroth and all life. He killed and mutilated anyone, even his own followers, he saw everyone as a tool or a pawn, he was only interested in destruction and murder. It was characteristic of him that he did not tolerate resistance and easily abandoned his followers or allies when their defeat was already certain. At the same time, he recognized situations that were unfavorable to him and acted immediately, and he did not underestimate his opponents.
Powers and abilities[]
Vorr possessed extremely great magical power. He was able to easily create several fireballs and chain lightning at the same time, thus he was able to destroy entire armies. He was also able to manipulate other people's dreams and even attack and abuse others through dreams. In addition to his magical power, Vorr's physical power was also immense. In addition to his tall and broad stature, he was also very muscular, able to easily lift and carry Tarnum, an extremely strong and muscular barbarian warrior with one hand.
