Biography[]
Vulkanus first appeared in the episode "The Galactic Enforcers", where he teams up with Ben's previous enemy Sixsix. Here, the two steal Element X from a spaceship with the intent of creating a solar system destroying bomb. The only problem is they needed an additional element to do so, iron ore, found only on Earth. The duo travel to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, where the Tennyson family was visiting. The duo of criminals were also followed by the Galactic Enforcers, a trio of protectors. Despite their help, the Galactic Enforcers proved ineffective in stopping Vulkanus and Sixsix from getting the ore due to their obsession with following the Galactic Code of Conduct. In order to properly fuse Element X and iron together, Vulkanus and Sixsix needed to use a local steel mill's smelting pots to melt the iron ore. Ben was able to convince the Enforcers to ignore the Code and they were able to defeat and arrest the two.
During the second segment of the Omniverse episode "The Ballad of Mr. Bauman", Vulkanus returned to Earth once again to steal Element X. This time, the source was from the ship of Sheelane, an alien who fell in love with Mr. Bauman. Sheelane's ship was buried underwater, next to an iron mine. Ben was able to defeat Vulkanus, however this knocked him into the mine's wall while Element X was on his back, destroying his body. Fortunately, Vulkanus's species was capable of regenerating. Fortunately, Vulkanus was able to get a mechsuit that gave the illusion he was still the same height.
After Ben had taken off the Omnitrix, Vulkanus was stuck on Earth, where he briefly partnered with Kevin Levin. During one scam, Vulkanus was double crossed by Kevin, leaving Vulkanus at the mercy of the Plumbers. Angered, Vulkanus swore revenge. Vulkanus would get his opportunity in the episode "Kevin's Big Score". Vulkanus was revealed to be trading alien tech to get by, among those being a holographic message from Max. Kevin attempted to barter with his former ally, only for Vulkanus to forcibly attached Kevin to a shard of Taydenite, a rare and valuable crystal. Ben, as Big Chill, followed Kevin to save him. Vulkanus's mech suit was destroyed, but he was able to reap the reward of a small amount of Taydenite.
Vulkanus reappeared in the episode "Inferno", where he used the Taydenite to legal buy a permit to drop a bomb into the Earth's core. This was quickly stopped by Ben and his team.
During the Ultimate Alien episode, "Hit 'Em Where They Live," Vulkanus teamed up with Zombozo and Charmcaster to kidnap and attack Ben's parents. While they failed to get at Carl Tennyson, they did get his mom, Sandra. Ben, Gwen, and Kevin were able to defeat the trio, where Gwen frightened off Zombozo, making it so the villains would never try this again.
During the episode, "Greeting's from Techadon", Vulkanus ordered a Techadon Factory which landed in downtown Bellwood. The device produced Techadon robots which learned after each defeat, they won't stop until get job done by destroying Ben, but he was able to deduce that they were tracking him by the Ultimatrix, so he just covered it with his jacket. To get back at Vulkanus, Ben attached an ID mask to Vulkanus's back that was made to look like the Ultimatrix, causing the latest Techadon to chase after Vulkanus.
During the third part of "The Ballad of Mr. Bauman", Vulkanus returned one final time to get the Element X from Sheelane. This time, he was beaten by both Ben as Ripjaws, and Mr. Baumann in a mechsuit,
