Biography[]
Pacify[]
In notes that can be found in-game, it explains how Vult Ludere used to own a funeral home with his wife, Gretchen Ludere. One day when the couple was walking around town, they came across a young girl named Emilia. The couple adopted her after they couldn't figure out where she had came from. Vult and Gretchen used to study rituals daily and later performed one on Emilia and her two dolls they had given to her. One night after the ritual, Emilia began to act out violently and killed Gretchen after she tried to calm her down. After multiple failed attempts to bring Emilia back to normal, Vult gave up and abandoned Emilia in his mansion, claiming that Emilia is "lost forever".
Emily Wants To Play Too[]
In newspapers that can be found in-game, the protagonist learns that Vult Ludere is a puppet master and used to perform puppet shows for children. Kiki, Mr. Tatters, and Chester were some of the puppets he used in his shows. The newspaper also mentions how children began to go missing during his shows.
Vult makes his first physical appearance in the ending cutscene where he is seen facing Emily and the dolls. He explains to Emily that he cannot allow her out anymore and that they are one. The game ends with Emily letting out a loud scream.
