Vultar is a villain in Moby Dick and Mighty Mightor. He is the leader of the Vulture Men.

Biography[]

The Vulture Men[]

The Vulture Men have finished their statue modeled after their vulture god. Vultar now wished to capture Mightor and seal him in the statue to give the statue Mightor's powers.

The Vulture Men ride to Tor's village searching for Mightor. Pondo quickly calls everyone (including Sheera and Little Rok) inside, but Tor turns into Mightor and flies with Tog to fight the Vulture Men. Some manage to tie Mightor in ropes, but he breaks free and throws them into trees. In anger, Vultar sends more of his men after Mightor, but Little Rok is watching this and (much to Mightor's disgust) flies to take on the Vulture Men.

A Vulture Man flies at Little Rok, but is knocked back by Mightor's club. Mightor defeats two more Vulture Men and Tog then traps them in a ring of fire. However, Vultar then gets Mightor's compliance by kidnapping Little Rok. At the lair of the Vulture Men, Mightor is sealed inside of the statue. Tog and Ork watch this display and take action; Tog scares off some Vulture Men, and Ork frees Little Rok. Little Rok and Ork go to free Mightor, but he hears them and breaks out on his own, much to the horror of Vultar, who orders the Vulture Men to destroy Mightor.

Some Vulture Men hurl spears at Mightor, but he hits them back. Tog leads more Vulture Men to a mountain, enabling Mightor to use his power ray to split the mountain in half, whereupon the Vulture Men crash into it. Vultar tries to deal with Mightor himself, but Mightor throws him (and his vulture bird) to the ground.

The Return of the Vulture Men[]

Vultar rallies up the Vulture Men to destroy Mightor's village in revenge for him defeating them. Tor, Tog, and Sheera are watching Little Rok practice a battle with Bollo when the Vulture Men arrive and drop boulders on the village. Tor sends Little Rok and Sheera to the caves, turns into Mightor, and flies after the Vulture Men with Tog.

Mightor catches three boulders and hits them back at the Vulture Men. The boulders all miss, but Mightor stays in hot pursuit of the Vulture Men. However, this is in fact what Vultar wanted, as Mightor's abscence has left the village unguarded, allowing the Vulture Men to attack. Little Rok goes to stop them, but a Vulture Man grabs him and drops him into the sky. Fortunately, he is saved by Ork.

Little Rok puts his Mightor mask on a rock and waves his club around. One Vulture Man sees this and alerts Vultar, who orders an attack at once. However, their claws all just bounce off (or break), and one Vulture Man who gets too close is whacked repeatedly on the head by Little Rok. However, Vultar orders his men to use their boulders, and this destroys the rock, exposing Little Rok's trick. Fortunately, it is just about then that the real Mightor returns to battle the Vulture Men.

Two tie Mightor in ropes and slam him into a rock, but he survives and uses two boulders to tie them up, sendign them falling to the ground. Tog uses his fire breath to melt the claws of two more Vulture Men, but still two more sneak up behind him. Fortunately, Mightor sets a tree onto two others, and the Vulture Men are left hanging when they slam into it. Mightor then vaporizes the trees, sending the Vulture Men falling. Vultar swoops down to grab him, but Mightor breaks free and throws him into the river. Vultar gets out and paddles away.

Vultar and his followers are the final recurring villains introduced in Moby Dick and Mighty Mightor.
