Vyke, also known by his boss name Vyke, Knight of the Roundtable Hold, is an NPC character and an optional boss in the 2022 video game Elden Ring. He was a Tarnished warrior who is famously known for nearly succeeding in becoming Elden Lord.
Biography[]
Before the arrival of the protagonist, the unnamed Tarnished of no renown, Vyke arrived at the Roundtable Hold, the gathering place of the Tarnished, where he was given th title of Roundtable Knight. He would then meet the Ancient Dragon Lansseax at a similar time. The dragon would come to love him and Vyke became her most loved knight. Lansseax shared with him ancient dragon cult incantations, which Vyke would come to master many of them. He would be given his own incantation and signature move named after him called Vyke's Dragonbolt, which can electrify his body and his weapon, a spear. This might probably be the origins behind Vyke's nickname Vyke the Dragonspear.
Out of all the Tarnished, none were so close to the throne of the Elden Lord than Vyke. However, he traveled far below the capital of Leyndell without an announcement. There, he was scorched by the Flame of Frenzy, which corrupted him. It is either believed that he did it for his maiden or was lured in by other force. As said by a stranded soul, Vyke was expected to become the Lord of the Frenzied Flame but he didn't for some reason and was imprisoned in an evergaol instead. Despite his imprisonment, he is still able to invade those who approach the Church of Inhibition and the Frenzied Flame Village under the name Festering Fingerprint Vyke, a dark spirit.

Vyke can be encountered as Festering Fingerprint Vyke on the path to the Church of Inhibition, which is where he will spawn. He wields a war spear and possesses several Frenzy Flame spells. He is capable of healing himself through a Flask of Crimson Tears when needed.
Roundtable Knight Vyke[]
The evergaol, where Vyke is imprisoned can be found at the Mountaintops of the Giants, close to where the first church of Marika is located. During his boss fight, Vyke, unlike his invader self, uses Ancient Dragon incantations instead of Frenzy Flame spells and still possesses a Flask of Crimson Tears.
