~ Radiguet via hologram to the people of Earth during the first invasion. |
The Dimensional War Party Vyram were a group of extra-dimensional nobles and the main antagonists of Choujin Sentai Jetman.
History[]
The Vyram hailed from an alternate universe known as the Back Dimension seeking to conquer our world known as the "Front Dimension." Cooperation between members was barely - if at all - existent; mutual contempt and distrust were rampant within the upper hierarchy staffs, and they had no loyalty towards their empress whom they served, just fear. The core members who are commanders of the group possess way too much pride for their own good, and often their enmity towards each other gets in the way of their mission. Vyram members held other beings with nothing but contempt, calling Earthlings "silly beings."
Jetman[]
After conquering many worlds in the Back Dimension, the Vyram use their Dimensional Traveler Machine to invade the Front Dimension and attempt to conquer Earth. Radiguet is the first of the Vyram to declare the group's intention for the invasion of Earth, Radiguet demands subjugation and decimates the Skyforce base in space. Ryuu Tengo and Rie Aoi are chosen by Commander Aya Odagiri to be exposed to the Birdonic Waves to turn them into the Jetmen. However, when the Vyram destroy the Sky Force's Earth Ship, Rie falls out of the ship and is kidnapped by Radiguet. Radiguet brainwashes Rie and removed her memories, making her an official of the Vyram named Maria.
However, thier attack indirectly spreads the Birdonic Aura to Earth where four unassuming civilians are empowered. As a result, the Vyram receive resistance in form of the Choujin Sentai Jetman to the extent that Radiguet is forced to save the Dimensional Bug Mother in order to preserve her off-spring that the Vyram want to use in thier plans. Recognizing the significant resistance, Radiguet makes a bet with his fellow elites Tran, Grey, and Maria that whoever defeats the Jetmen first will become the new leader of Vyram. Empress Juuza later returns to lead the Vyram and hatches a scheme to awaken her ultimate Beast, Semimaru, by feeding it human suffering. However, she is defeated by the Jetmen with help from a traitorous Radiguet and the Vyram are left leaderless once more.
When the Jetman begin to suspect that there might be innocent civilians trapped within their enemies bodies, Ryu begins to stop serious attacks due to being afraid of hurting the child Tran might be which makes Tranza the joke of his mates of Vyram. Eventually, the constant anger becomes too much which leads a fed up Tran to undergo a Notorius growth and he becomes Emperor Tranza. Newly grown, he seizes leadership of Vyram and attacks his mates in revenge for underestimating him when he was a kid. They try stop him, first trying to create a monster but Tranza improves upon it wielding it to his advantage, much for the team's frustration. In order to defeat Jetman, he creates Majin Robo Veronica which needs human life energy but Radiguet sabotages Tranza's Robot Veronica as revenge so Tranza uses him to feed the robot. Later, he begins to plot his final plan to defeat Jetman: The Bio Gun. Tranza heads out to hunt both Radiguet and Jetmen down. Tranza fights the Jetman and uses his Bio Gun to turn each member into a trophy portrait until only Ryuu remains like only member. However, with Radiguet aiding Ryuu, Radiguet manages to betray him and the Bio Gun is destroyed and the others are freed as they use Jet Bazooka to defeat him once for all.
Though he survives the attacks, Radiguet tortures Tranza; stabbing him in the bare hand before stepping on him and mocking him to say his name and say "Lord Radiguet" before sparing him to live in fear of his name. Tranza is released from the Vyram in a catatonic state and is later sent to an insane asylum. Tran later briefly seizes control of the Vyram after becoming Emperor Tranza and banishing Radiguet, but he too is defeated by the Jetmen, allowing Radiguet to come in and take full control of the Vyram for his ultimate scheme. Ultimately, he too was defeated and with most of the Vyram commanders having also been taken care of, the Vyram became no more. Ultimately, the side effects of his power boost manifest in his newly gained giant form; the armored Raguem.
After Maria fully regains her memories, Radiguet kills her so Ryuu cannot have her back. Soon after, Radiguet challenges Red Hawk to a final battle. However, his friends snap him out of it and Ryuu leads the Jetman team to defeat Radiguet as he reveals Raguem form to overpower Great Icarus. When Tetra Boy exposes the weak point Rie made on Radiguet, he attempts to assimilate the Vylock into armor before Jet Garuda rips the armor off and sacrifices itself so Great Icarus can destroy Raguem as he tells the Jetman that he will have revenge on them even beyond death. With Radiquet gone, the Vyram are no more.
Super Sentai World[]
Three years later, a group of Grinam Soldiers are among the army of past Sentai footsoldiers summoned by Zaigan to assist in Emperor Daidas' invasion of Earth, alongside some Batzler Soldiers, Golem Soldiers, Cotpotros and Dorodoros.
Gokaiger[]
Several Grinam Soldiers are part of an army of past enemy grunts fought by the Gokaigers in Los Dark's ghost dimension which houses the 1500 spirits of the villains defeated by the Super Sentai. After losing some of their number in an initial skirmish, the remaining members from each grunt group merged to form the Combined Combatant. Though the stronger opponent, the Combined Combatant proves to be unstable due to internal conflicting among the grunts composing him over who got to finish the pirates off. Taking advantage, the Gokaigers use the Battle Fever J Ranger Keys to destroy the Combined Combatant with the Penta Force cannon.
Arsenal[]
Vylock[]
Giant Demon Castle Vylock was the floating base of the Vyram which existed in a separate dimension from our own, and its interior defied the laws of physics, allowing those inside to walk on walls or the ceiling. It was home to a meeting room where the commanders of Vyram discuss their invasion plans, as well as a chair for where the leader of Vyram is supposed to sit, though it usually remained empty as the Vyram spend most of their time competing to defeat the Jetman to decide who the next leader would be. It also contained the Vyram's "dimensional generator" which allowed them to access alternate worlds and invade them. In the finale, after becoming Raguem, Radiguet merged with the Vylock to give himself an extra coat of armor over his weak spot. It was blasted away by the Jetman in their mecha in order to access it and ultimately destroyed when Raguem was killed.
Majin Robo Veronica[]
Majin Robo Veronica was a giant robot constructed by Emperor Tranza to be the Vyram's ultimate weapon, piloted by all four Vyram executives though only one was needed to operate it. It used humans as a power source and drained the life energy of humans trapped in its interior in order to power it. It would end up being destroyed thanks to a power struggle between Tranza and Radiguet, which created an opportunity for the Jetman to blow it up. Its energy would be absorbed by Radiguet upon its defeat, allowing him to transform into Raguem.
