~ Wall Guy after Allan unknowingly intrudes on him. |
Wall Guy is a minor antagonist in the Smiling Friends episode "Desmond's Big Day Out."
He was voiced by Finn Wolfhard.
Appearance[]
He is a pale humanoid with a slightly pudgy body, a big nose, and two eyes that are different sizes. He doesn't wear any clothes and has no ears.
Personality[]
As someone secretly living inside the walls of Smiling Friends Inc., he deeply values his privacy. When Allan intrudes on him, he politely but unhelpfully tries to assist him on his quest, later reminding him to make himself known next time he enters someone's place. However, once Allan points out the unreasonableness of this request, Wall Guy starts arguing dismissively and sarcastically, insisting that it is "none of his business" to inquire about him living in their walls before aggressively telling him to leave.
While it is never shown exactly what he was doing on the computer, and while his desire for privacy is understandable, his peculiar living situation suggests some bizarre, potentially embarrassing, or malicious interests or endeavors. He lives naked within the debris-ridden office walls, uses a cardboard box as a desk, has various bottles scattered around, and keeps a metal bucket filled with a mysterious brown substance. Additionally, his frantic attempts to cover up his activity on the computer add to the suspicion.
Biography[]
At some point in the past, Wall Guy started living in the walls of the Smiling Friends building without anyone knowing.
During the events of "Desmond's Big Day Out," Allan enters a hole behind the break room fridge in search of a missing paperclip, which he mistakenly believes was stolen by a mouse. Upon entering, he finds Wall Guy browsing his computer naked and asks if he saw a mouse run by. Wall Guy quickly and frantically tries to cover up whatever he was doing on the computer and unhelpfully tells Allan to "check down there," claiming he was oblivious to any mouse passing by.
After Allan thanks him and continues his quest, Wall Guy insists that it's a good idea to knock or announce yourself whenever you enter someone's domain. However, Allan calls him out, saying that he shouldn't be living in the walls to begin with. Wall Guy argues with this, insisting it is none of Allan's business and sarcastically dismissing his concerns. Recognizing the futility of the conversation, Allan decides to walk away, with Wall Guy delivering an aggressive goodbye beforehand.
