Gus is a supporting character in the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise. While he is normally a neutral character, he became the main antagonist of The Patrick Star Show episode "Best Served Cold", and the secondary antagonist of the episode “Ice Cream Headache”.
In "Best Served Cold", Gus tries to avoid Patrick by driving off a closed bridge, which causes his car to crash and burn. Patrick shows up to get ice cream, but he takes so long to choose what he wants that the fire ends up spreading and burning all of the ice cream. Gus goes to the Chum Bucket and meets Squidward, who is annoyed because of Cecil stealing his newspapers, Fentin Finkle, who is envious of Squidina's success, Gladys, who complains about Bunny, and Death, who has been eluded by GrandPat for centuries. The five of them then decide to team up to get their revenge on the Star Family.
After Squidward and Fentin fail to get revenge, Gladys reveals that she doesn't have an actual grudge against Bunny, a Sea Fly that wanted to get revenge on Bunny gets swatted, and Death gets his revenge on GrandPat by playing a prank on him, Gus decides to get his revenge by chasing Patrick with spiked ice cream-shaped vehicle in an attempt to kill him. Patrick manages to stop Gus by trying to eat the vehicle, which causes it to spin. Walter and the others then get crushed by a mechanical flyswatter and then get towed away. Gus and the others are then seen in the Chum Bucket and are shown to be heavily injured after having gotten crushed.
In "Ice Cream Headache", an unknown creature terrorizes Bikini Bottom by eating all of ice creams available. The Ice Cream King and Gus decide to trap it using a ice cream truck by throwing ice cream to the road, but after three kids eat the ice cream and get sick, Gus asks the Ice Cream King what kind of chum it is. After The Ice Cream King says that it's chum, Gus throws the chum away, and then tries to throw actual ice cream on the road, but the Ice Cream King tries to stop him from doing so, stating that he needs the ice cream for his all ice cream diet. They accidentally drop the ice cream on the road, which attracts the monster's attention and eventually leads to the ice cream truck getting destroyed.
When the creature is revealed to be Patrick, The Ice Cream King states that they could take out Patrick if they knew where he lived. Gus then reveals a tracking chip that allows them to find the Star’s house, however, when he steps on a puddle of ice cream, Patrick shows up and eats Gus whole.
