Warden Stonewall is bald and quite elderly judging by the wrinkles on his forehead. He wears a brown coat with a green tie and also black pants with some keys visible.
Personality[]
Stonewall is extremely corrupt and secretive which is shown when he doesn't allow anyone to access Rex's cell even police chief Dunby.
Biography[]
At some point Warden Stonewall assisted Rex in escaping. Either Stonewall was bribed or he had some involvement in Rex's gang.
Warden Stonewall is first mentioned just after Snakes Squealer tells Chase to visit the prison. Frank Honey claims that he knows how to get to the prison but Dunby will not like it.
After Chase builds the boat for Captain Bluffbeard, he heads off to the mysterious Albatross Island. At the prison, Chase meets Blue, a wise prison inmate who tells him to access Rex's cell. After a lot of platforming, Chase manages to get to the warden's office where he is seen going to the bathroom with a newspaper in hand. Chase uses the pieces from the broken chandelier to lock him in the bathroom. Stonewall then goes on the phone to a mysterious figure (likely Rex Fury) telling them that he hasn't let anyone look in there - referring to the cell. Chase decides to rummage through his classical records collection then plays a opera record over the intercom causing Stonewall to scream and bash on the bathroom door. Eventually the entrance Rex's cell opens and Chase goes through. While in Rex's cell he presses 3 buttons causing a painting of a woman to slide open revealing a massive tunnel Rex dug out. During this, Stonewall somehow gets out of the bathroom and calls Dunby to tell him about the incident.
Chase slides through the tunnel landing outside an outflow pipe and is greeted by the police including Dunby and Stonewall with Dunby saying Stonewall called him a 'nincompoop'. Chase picks up a small hammer that he believes Rex used to escape, he also deducts that it is from the Bluebell Mine. Dunby angrily grabs the hammer and tells Chase that there was a theft there a few months ago. Finally, the press takes a photo of them all (including Stonewall who is looking very nervous).
It's unknown what happened to Stonewall after these events and if his corruption ever became known to the public.
Trivia[]
- He is based off Samuel Norton from the Shawshank Redemption as they are both corrupt wardens although Norton is far more evil than Stonewall.
