Wardrobeman is a villain from the Teletoon animated series, Sidekick. He is an evil wizard who works in a costume shop and curses people with black magic for liking Maxum Man. He used to be Maxum Man's tailor before getting fired for making a ridiculous new costume for him and now, we swears vengeance on him. He appeared in "Halloweenie".
Biography[]
In "Halloweenie", Eric found out that he was the only person dressed as a clown for Halloween, while everyone else was Maxum Man. So, he went to the costume shop to get himself a Maxum Man costume. The costume shop was owned by a creepy old green wizard dude named Wardrobeman, who appear in a cloud of purple smoke. Wardrobeman offered up a bunch of costumes for Eric to try on but none of them were to his liking. Eric said that he wanted a Maxum Man costume and this made Wardrobeman snap and go completely insane. Wardrobeman ranted about how nowadays, this is all kids anywhere ever wanted and he used his magical powers to make Eric and the other sidekicks disappear.
When they re-appeared in the middle of town, they all completely ignored what had just happened and carried on with trick-or-treating, only to soon discover that they all had superpowers just like Maxum Man, except for Eric, who lacked any powers other than clown powers. Things got out of control pretty soon, when all of the sidekicks started fighting with each other, causing chaos and mayhem around Splittsboro. Eric eventually figured out that it was Wardrobeman who cursed him and his friends and as the only guy with no powers, Eric went back to the costume shop.
Eric returned to the costume shop and asked Wardrobeman why he did this. Wardrobeman said that he used to be Maxum Man's personal tailor and one day, he made him a brand new upgraded costume that he thought he would love. However, Maxum Man hated it and had him fired on the spot, literally by firing him out of a proton cannon. Since then, Wardrobeman had sworn vengeance on Maxum Man and sought to destroy his popularity and this was a great way of getting back at him. Eric fought with Wardrobeman, using his clown powers. He squirted him in the eyes with seltzer, tied him up in a chain of handkerchiefs, and finally trapped him in a clown car. Eric then destroyed Wardrobeman's magical staff and undid all of the magic, depriving everyone of their superpowers, including himself.
